  1. Excellent work, especially for your first build. I second the notion that this forum has a great wealth of knowledge for both the first timers and old timers.
  2. Thanks for the heads up. Any advice on overcoming it?
  3. Welcome back to the hobby. You'll like the MAD distributors. If you don't have one, get a pin vise to drill the really small holes in the engine for the plug wires. I think SG would work just fine as a filler. You could also use putty (Testors works for me for small holes), fill the hole, sand and re-drill it. Good luck.
  4. It rolls...and it's carpeted. Black embossing powder from JoAnn. Should have the seats and center console, if not the whole interior in tonight.
  5. I said model ,and forgive me, but what car am I looking at here?
  6. Small update...Wheels, Tires and Seats
  7. This is my modeling community (for the short time I've been a part of it) and for me, being part of that community is posting my work. I generally comment to give an atta boy when I see something particularly cool or different.
  8. Here's the paint. Duplicolor Indigo Metallic on top, charcoal gray metallic on the bottom. More purple... More blue...
  9. Nice. There's something about the body lines on this that I really like, especially lowered. Have fun!
  10. Love the color, and I like the "then and now" type pairing.
  11. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm in process on spraying the body, so more pics soon.
  12. I'd probably spray the satin black over the clear. Thinking outside the box (for me), what if you painted the whole thing gloss, masked off the stripes, cleared, reverse the masking and spray with a satin clear. My 2 cents, ymmv.
  13. As a Hot Wheels collector I love this. I can't wait to see the finished product.
  14. I don't have any tips on the wash, but I had to comment on the furniture. That is too cool!
  15. You guys that take on these major challenges intrigue me. This should be interesting to watch.
