  1. Thanks, guys. I do appreciate all the nice comments. For anyone who does have the book, don't hesitate to write if you have any questions about anything (.....except getting a refund..... .....).
  2. Com'on, Neil......we go back a long way. You can't rat me out. (.......CAN you?.............)
  3. Derrick: Thanks. I've got some new things planned, but haven't had much time to get them up and running. Stay tuned..... Tom: Not right now, but I might do an E-Book down the road. Lately I'm having too much fun BUILDING!
  4. No offense taken, Tony. Advances in building methods over the last 10+ years, and the rapid fllow of that information over the internet, has indeed made much of the book's information obsolete, so I can't blame anybody who's disappointed after spending a ton of money to get a copy. Thanks for the kind words........... Ken
  5. Cranky posted a couple of in-progress photos of the Playland Arcade diorama back on page 2. Since they were taken, I finished the brick gutter and the asphalt (plaster) pavement: The whole in-progress series of photos is in this Fotki album: http://public.fotki....d_penny_arcade/ Thanks for looking. Ken
  6. I just ran across this thread and wanted to jump in with a few comments about the diorama book..... As Chuck Doan said, it's a "pre-internet", entry-level diorama book that's now 10-years old (a lifetime by internet standards). As I look through it now, much of the information looks really dated and if I were going to update book, most of what's in there wouldn't make the new cut. I'm glad, though, that some of you are still able to get ideas from it. Happy Building, Ken Hamilton PS: Don't blame me for the ridiculously high prices. I wouldn't spend that much for it either.
  7. Ray: I got your note over at my Fotki site..... Harry's got the bases covered on this one. You might not want to heat the plastic but it's really one of the best ways to go. For small "outward" dents, like you said you wanted in the top. hold the body upside down, carefully heat the roof and poke your dents from the inside. Good luck. Ken
