  1. So I started this By chopping a Jungle Jim Funny car body and putting it on this pro stock chassis. Any comments or thoughts? What would you do if it was on your work bench? Scrap it or keep it? Do this, do that? what do you think? dont hold back if you dont like it, constructive criticism is appreciated.
  2. This was a common kit for a Showdown contest, The winner was a tractor that somebodys best friend made. The only thing from the kit on the tractor was, ummm, I couldn't tell!?!?! At least mine looked somewhat like a "car" Great tractor you "made" Sir! I am proud of my second place to your plow!
  3. This is a 66 Nova I built for an M.C.M.A. contest, they thought it was BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH but I didn,t care. Scratch build something and you might like it! This is in no way as "big as Darryls" but I did the decals on my own, yes, they are just black! What did you do?
  4. That Mowtown Missile looks pretty bad. I am sure decals for that should be easy to find too.
  5. I built this for the common kit class at the 2011 Dallas Texas Showdown put on by the M.C.M.A, its a cool show, you need to go to it!
  6. Thanks for all the kind words! Here are some in process pics.
  7. Found some reference pics I found. The Herb McCandles was bought from Glidden. I hope you can see the difference between the two hood openings.
  8. Thanks evryone for the interest. I found some pics of the build process but they are farther along in the build. Anyway, I moved the hood opening back like the real car, and I added from a donor hood to the front of the body, like the real deal. I hope that I can post the pics. I did alot of research when I decided to start. This was for a club challenge for cars named after animals,I had to of the fireman kits so off I went.
  9. I built this a couple of years back and I'm gonna see if I can post a few pics of it.
  10. An old build, just trying to see if I can post a pic.
  11. I had intended to do that version but the slixx decals are made to fit the pinto and are not long enough to go end to end, so I would have had to get two sets and splice them together. I have seen another model with the stripes and if you look very close you will see that above the front fender well the splice. Thanks again!
  12. Thanks a bunch! I have lots of pics but they are to big to load here. Shoot me an e-mail, jenkins.nkins@verizon.net put Bob Glidden as the subject!
  13. The gasser look is really cool. For me I try to make my paint job smooth.Just keep on building!
  14. Hey Danny! Me too! Been a Glidden fan forever. Thanks for the good words about the model.I have been trying to show more pics but I have been having trouble with the files being too big to upload. I will try to, soon. As for the firefighter kit, the hardest thing beside moving the engine and firewall back is covering the red plastic with the white paint. I had to first primer (I try to always use lacquer) in gray, then primer white, then gloss white. When I first tried to get by with only white primer then gloss white it still looked pink!!!! That is the best advice I could give a person on painting.
  15. Thanks Wayne,as I started putting the decals in place, the refridgerator started to look like a racing refridgerator!lol!
  16. Hey Larry, what make are you wanting to build?
  17. Thank you very much Aaron. Thanks a bunch Rob!
  18. Thanks for everything Len, seeing what you build makes me want to be better!
  19. I really dig stuff that is refreshingly different, and this is cool!
  20. Thanks, did u know racecar spelled backwards is racecar!
  21. I like the fact that you put the wedge in, instead of just goin with the s.c. hemi, also the "look" is just rite.
