My mistake ... an it did survive, with a lot of money to restore it . They found it in a boneyard in GA, as it was in repo men.but im shure you know that bro... hey do them hinges look familiar.... hahahaha. Made a few changes to that post .. thanks bro

No since in posting pics . i just got the door jamms started.. ill post pics when there done, As well as building pics of them. But i did get more PE in the mail today.. I'll post the pics tomarrow, Its been a long day.

thank you ... i never said a replica or an accurate General Lee !!!! At least someone understood. But i did pick a touchy subject ,but no one will ever be right . in my own opinion a true accurate General lee would have to be from LEE1 since it was labled the first one. It was a peice of insperation for this build. And im shure there will be more chewing and spitting as i get further in to this build.. Later Days ..Davin

Well since this has turned in to a pee pee match... I feel that this build publicly is DEAD.. sry to those who really wanted to see the build .. blame the nitpickers an school teachers, an the it should be done this way no it should be done that way ... MY BUILD MY MONEY INVESTED.. GET OFF THIS BULL WHO CARES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE REASON I LEFT FOR 6+ MONTHS A BUNCH OF KIDDS SEEIN WHOS CAN SPIT THE FARTHEST.... nick sry .. but what you tryed to do was tell me how inaccurate my build was .. when i just started the thing .. but me an you are good.. but if i was building an accurate general lee . ( witch there isnt one ). i would ask an take some of ur advice.

thanks for you kind words .. im real close to banning myself from this forum .. these lill nit pickers is the reason i left for over 6 month .. like you said its a model car .. an they nit pick befor the thing is even really started.. i dont care if i upset some people but come on im not building a 1:1 car here .. im doing all this PE to try my hand at new things i have never done ... in my own way . i can take all that every one says but when all some do is pick an pick an pick . it gets old real quick.. ive owned 44 dodges older than 74 .. i know a dodge in an out .. ive raced them ive built them over an over .. but for some this is not a real car ...... i have also gotten personal mesg about things that i havent even started yet, an things that they say is inaccurate . for what a model car .. its getting old fast... hey bro thanks for the comment its guys like you that will keep me posting for now..... later days my friend ... You guys are all right ...but keep in mind these spring are not 100% done yet ..an yes as most if not all mopars front spring mount were bolted to the frame ..I will put the frame back in an go from there with the mount to look more like a mopar mount .. LaterDays davin

thanks .. yeah this may be a lill $$$$$$ in it but ...lol sickfish ..... i feel the leaf kit is just right for scale .. he does 2 styles short an long . this one is the long kit an come with everything you need .. wire for the u bolts, pins and around 20 or so PE bolt heads an 2 sizes of aluminum tube for the spring bushings an if some left to make a pair of shocks.. this kit is designed to be fully functional, but i will look in to those coil overs .... this kit was 20.00 shipped an it shipped fast .... i would recommend it .im gonnna get a few more for a 4x4 build .. later days ..Davin

So here goes the M.A.S rear leaf spring kit .. the first side i did went fairly smooth ... but the other side kicked my butt it did not want to pin together for nothing but i got after a few hrs of fighting it ... lol in this first shot you may notice a piece of the frame missing in front of the forward spring pertch.. i had to do this cuz i had to modifie the leaf spring so they would resemble the kits springs .. an to center the axle.. but i will replace the missing frame just a bit further forward... now heres a few shots of both springs done ... and one pic on the rear axle... if you look closly you can see a hole twored the middle of the springs that was the origanal holes an the true center line .. i made holes about 1/4 of an inch forward so it looks like the kit springs.. later days ...Davin enjoy

Aright here goes the build... got a lill done . starterd cutting the grill out for the PE one .... grills cut out and chrome stripped off it an the rear bumper. I also got the doors an the trunk lid cut off. an will be hinged soon. today im workin on that M.A.S rear leaf spring kit ......stay tunned Later Days ..Davin

Sickfish.. shes my reason for my love of mopars as well. an i to will do one of the 2 1/16th generals i have .. though 1 will never be built as it the 81 sealed kit..lol lrlocke01..nice general..... well im gonna start this today .. i orderded more PE stuff from MCG lastnight .. carb linkage, door lock hardware, wire looms ,and battery hardware,, lol oh an the doors will open on this as my reserch has proved that hollywood did not in fact weld the doors shut it was just in the scriped .. this info can be found on the net ...by some that had a hand in restoring the very first general a,k,a LEE1. later days general lee fans ,, Davin
