  1. I kept looking back at the fenders...and I finally noticed that the front and rear fenders were too close together! I decided to shorten the front fenders about 3/8", I marked the area to be cut off... Then I used a razor saw and an X-acto knife to cut the marked fender area out. I filled the open space with scrap plastic and glued it together with Zap-A-Gap. Here is the same area after a little bit of sanding...
  2. Thanks Brian! This is the Special Edition with Amber Lights and Dual Superchargers....
  3. Thanks for the kind words Dr.!
  4. The Z-28 kit came with molded in tail lights... I wanted to put some clear red tail lights on instead, but couldn't find the right size set in the parts box. I ended up using headlights and painting them, red and amber, on the inside.
  5. But it says HEMI!!! The HEMI engine cuts off at the body line, nothing under there. So I decided to add to the illusion, I added spark plug lines! The lines just go through holes that I drilled in the engine opening.
  6. Thanks for the kind words Scott! I will be back to work on Triangula in a couple days. Really looking forward to finishing this one!
  7. Thanks Dr.! Yes, I still have more body work to do, planning to do a recessed license plate housing and maybe a couple other mods!
  8. Thanks Brian! This is the first time I've used the LEDs, they work well, I think I'll probably use them again.
  9. Here is the modified Deals Wheels Chassis Plate in place. I added a piece of white plastic tubing to hold the rear axle. The black areas will all be touched up before mounting the tires. The wires for the LED's go through the drivers seat into the Chassis Plate. I was able to fit most of the LED set-up into the engine compartment area.
  10. I haven't thought much about paint. Any Suggestions?
  11. Thanks for the kind words Joe. Glad you liked the website!
  12. Here is how the interior plate fits into the body.
  13. Here is the Chassis Plate with some painting done on it.
  14. Beautiful Paint Work Dr!!!
  15. SKULLY is Ready to Race! I used "The Detailer" and lightly covered the Skull & hand with several light coats of black thinned with water. I made the Roll Cage with flexable plastic rod. The Roll Cage really adds a lot to the interior, I like it!
  16. Thanks for the kind words Daniel.
  17. I cut off the part of the inside wheel halves that stuck out past the tires. This reduced the width of the rear track by about 3/8"
  18. This is what is left of the Z-28 Chassis Plate after narrowing it and making room for the LED set-up. I cut 3 pieces of plastic to fit between the Chassis Plate sides. This will increase the glueing surface of this piece.
  19. Thanks Don! I do build some large scale models. Right now I am doing an 8th scale show car called Triangula, its almost finished. Here is my website with some of the large scale builds...http://sonic.net/~jo...ahm/index.shtml No I don't have the magic flute, but sometimes I wonder if you guys at TDR Products have one, that Offy Engine is Beautiful!!!
  20. Thanks Guy! Thats my favorite thing to do, cut-up a kit and mix it up with other cut-up kits...
  21. Thanks for your comments Scott!
  22. Thanks for the kind comments Niko! The LED set-up fits in the engine compartment area.
