heres the amt gto kit. i only got the body painted and cleared because of college but the body is painted duplicolor bahama blue right out of the can followed by ppg rainbow flakes in autoair transparent binder followed by a pinch of blue metal flakes in ppg clear. the everything locked in with acouple coats of straight ppg clear. the wetsanded and polished and wax. tell me what ya think. the flakes really pop in sunlight but more pictures to come soon.
heres the amt charger general lee kit. i cut open the front grille added mesh screen, engine details, built a cb antenna. decals under ppg clear and detailed roll bar padding . any questions just ask.
heres my dart. its done in createx tangerine pearl. flocked interior with roll bar and padding scratch build with the nitrous tank and hose. and engine wired up. any questions feel free to ask.
heres my 70 aar cuda. color is sublime green under ppg clear. i detailed the interior with flocked carpet. wired the engine and the usual details.any questions just ask.
thanks man im not a fan of lambo doors or lambos in any way, but they did come with the kit so looks better than no opening doors but regular opeing doors would of been better i think.thanks for the comment
thank you, the ppg clear coat is automotive painnt. it cost probly aroun 50 bucks for a quart of clear and 2 half pints of hardner to harden the clear coat. they use it in autobody shops. it requires no polishing or rubbing if you put it on smooth. i didnt have to polish my car at all. but i put 2 coats on then wait a day then wetsand it smooth and then put 1-2 smooth coats of it on and it comes out beautiful.
thanks, the kit came with the backglass and side glass already tinted
thanks
thanks you, i would of took pics of the engine but its very dull hardly no detail, and my hood doesnt want to stay up. but i will put a toothpick or something holding it up and take pics of it later and post it on this same thread
well heres my other mopar uptown build. its the charger version. and overall view of the kit is it is very good, every peice fits perfectly with another. a must have for a shelf build.the only thing i did to mine is added flocking and some tuner decals from an rsx kit just for the amps.but the color is chezoom i think, and it has a ppg clear finish. any questions feel free to ask.
well heres the revell uptown 300c kit. this would be my first kit that i have ever built with large wheels and amps and speakers. its not my typical build mostly muscle but i bought it for being a mopar and for only 12 bucks and i had a blast building it. tell me what ya think.
i just got ppg shopline rapid panel clear and its so nice way better than spraycans i got a quart of clear and 2 half pints of hardner for only 37 bucks. and it sprays so smooth and glossy
ok thanks, i used rustoleum clear on all my other cars so far but it hasnt really dried super glossy, but it is really durable and works well over decals, i just want to mix it up a bit and see which one works best
