  1. Tim Of course I am I have one posted here a 378 set back front axle with a scratch built trailer and a 367 set forward axle in progress both hoods from P&P both awesome hoods. I actually tried to email you through your site but I couldn't get it ot work for some reason. I wanted to build my 367 as 2010 model and I had a couple questions and I knew you were the man to ask. I built it as a 2008 that I saw at the Oregon logging confrance instead. Mark
  2. When I pre ordered mine the msrp was around 70 bucks. I wont pay that I get them for cost at my local hobby shop because I bring him lotsa buisness. Mark
  3. Thank you again for all the information. The mock up pictures are cool and very informative. I think that truck will look gooooood black and orange. The reason I was asking about scale is for my trailer selection. If it was 1/24th I was going to use a Italeri curtain side trailer to builds a Western curtain van for it now that I know it is 1/25 I will use a couple reissue flat beds and build either a Western 45 foot spread axle flat bed or a Magnum super B for it painted to mach of course Mark
  4. Nice trucks Tim. You might remember me this is Mark from Oregon.
  5. Dave Thank you for the information. Like I said I can't wait for them to get here. I am working on all of the projects that I have already started so my desk will be clean when they come out. I know as soon as it gets here I will have the it open and plastic glue and paint will be flying LOL. I do have a couple questions one is it going to be a one piece cab or a multi peice like the Italeri trucks and what scale is it going to be? those might have bee answered I just joined recently and might have missed it. Mark
  6. I preordered mine last week 2 to be exact. I hope they have the I force 15 because it is supposed to be the same as a C15 Cat. Modern components would be SWEEEEEEEET Heck a Modern truck period and a bad ass one to boot. I got to look at a lonestar at the Oregon logging confrance and they are the baddest of the bad. If I ever quit log truckin and go on the road I would want a lonestar. Mark
  7. Thank you for the kind words Actually the cab wasn't tat hard. I just took a AMT cab and used it for a pattern to look at wile I did the reconstruction om the back of the cab. I think the hardest part was making up my mind and getting the razor saw out. The first step was the top I cut the piece that filed in the V shape on the top of the cab. then the back pannel I just cut a piece of flat sheet to fit the hole in the back of the cab. I just took that piece and slid it up inside of a AMT cab and traced the window and cut it out.Keep in mind there will be a piece of strip that will overlap the top of the window. The next step is to put a strip at the top of the window that will represent were the fiber glass cab roof cap overlaps the aluminum cab pannels. then I pit a piece on the inside of the cab at a angle then the filler came out and the sand paper for shapping. Total time spent on the cab was about 3 hours not including the day to let the filler dry so I could sand. Wile the filler was drying I removed the sleeper bottom from the frame and put some top flanges on it and scratch built a couple cross members. For the rear suspension I just took oue of my Revell KW long hoods off the shelf and coppied the torque arms and shocks and mounts after it. My torque arms are just round stck wile the KW ones are not but aftermarket torque arms are so it is actually correct. I hope this helps any one that is thinking about doing one of these conversions. all in all its not that bad to do. Mark
  8. Hello I thought you all might like to see what i have been working on. A wile back I got a Revell Kenworth snap kit and I decided to try and turn it into a day cab After I got the cab looking deasent I removed the fifth wheel slider and scratch built the center cross member, torque arms and brackets as well as shocks and mounts. this is what I have so far. eventually this truck will be a transfer dump. Mark
  9. I forgot to ask Is this model going to be a curb side or is it going to have a motor in it not that it matters I already have mine preordered just wondering I haven't been able to find much on it. Mark
  10. Hello Thanks for the kind words. Ya you are kinda right on the frame. I used Evergreen 351 for the rail and 256 for the flanges. Mark
  11. 60 bucks sign me up I can't wait to have a all new kit we haven't had one since the Italeri Volvos and they were ok after you put a engine in them. Face it a Lonestar is COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. I don't build many highway trucks but I will be happy to add one to my fleet. Mark
  12. Here is my latest in progress. It is a Peterbilt 367 from P&P resins. It has scratch built frame rails and lift axle. I built it after a 2008 model that I saw at the Oregon logging conference and then later in a DSU peterbilt add in My little salesman. Mark
  13. Very nice Tim what a 353 should look like not a 359 with diamond plate fenders Awesome job. Mark
