Where: The Village Inn Golf & Conference Center 6205 Ramada Drive Clemmons, North Carolina, 27012, USA Phone 336.766.9121 Room rate is $ 68.00 (MUST mention "Summer Classic Model Show") The Model Car Auction will be at: 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM: Clemmons Civic Center 2870 Middlebrook Dr. Clemmons, N.C. Admission: General admission is $ 5.00. (under 12 years of age free). Model Entries: First entry is $ 5.00, and with additional $ 1.00 for each model entered after. (regardless of age of participant). The NNL Model Car Summer Classic Event is the show of the year. Presented by the Carolina Kustom Modelers Club. There will be a lot going on, starting with Friday night's Model Car Auction. Saturday will be the big event, with model vendors, special guests, and a lot more planned to keep you busy. Meet modeling friends and builders, share ideas, and generally just have a great time! The theme for this event is "Gassers", featuring drag racing subjects done by modelers from across the country. This event is open to to public, so if you you're a gear head, car nut, race fan, be sure and attend. Even if you don't build models, everyone can appreciate the craftsmanship and amazing abilities of modelers from virtually all walks of life. The Town of Clemmons is only about an hour away from Charlotte, one of the racing capitals of the world, and southwest of Winston-Salem. So there are a lot of extra activities and places to visit on your weekend with us. There are things for the whole family to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you! CKM web site

  4. Finally ! I got my Merc build completed! Color is HOK Lime Gold over white. I first layed the white then cut a templete out for the side scallop then shot the Lime Gold over that. Wheels are MCG Saturns whith the kit chromies painted orange. A few more pix here Merc Folder Comments Welcome Kenny

  8. Got a little more done to the 55 over the weekend. Also found a bar grille in the junk box to add to it. Heres a shot outside this morning. And to answer a few I'm casting this body @ Bandit Resins link below. Kenny
  9. Our club is building 55's by our show date. Heres the paint on mine today. Just a hint she'll have a hot water 6 with chromies & wide whites. More to come. Comments Welcome Kenny PPG Hot Licks Turquoise with HOK Snow Pearl roof, the graphic (from a temeplete I cut) is Passion Pearl and blue. Also added a little blue pearl powder in the clear.
  10. Thanks Guys... Seems these days I don't get the time to do a Full Detail kit. So I kinda enjoy the slammer style builds. With the resin casting. Decals and running a sign shop it kinda kills my build time !

  20. Heres my resin 71 Scamp built. I use the 68 Dart to complete it. Color is PPG Hot Blue , wheels are Detail Master DM-3400 with Satco Big & Littles. This car was alot of fun to build. There is a few small things I want to touch up but for the most part its done ! Thanks For Looking and Comments Are Welcome KDog

  22. I started with Bandit Resins 74 PSVega body and added Slixx decals a few parts box pieces. Something a little odd for me to build. Used my resin chassis I've been ironing the bugs out of. Soon it'll be ready to add to the 74 PS Vega kit. Comments Welcome Till Next Round, KDog

  24. Shes on the shelf ! Ended up black inside. Added a few wiring details under the hood. Also remade the drive shaft & exhaust with Alum tubing. (more in Work Bench post) Comments Welcome KDog
  25. I finaly got the paint (HOK Cinnamon Pearl over Silver) on it last weekend and rubbed out this week. Going for a sleeper look. Thinking interior will be more of a sheetmetal look with some aftermarket style seats and rollbar. A mild 327. Thanks For looking & your thoughts are Welcome KDog
