I was thinking, I 'm graduating high school in a few days and i was thinking about what it'll be like when i get my own place someday, and this thought popped into my head. How would I store my models so they wouldn't break during the move? I was hoping you guys could give me some ideas.

I bought this kit a few weeks ago and started on the L700 and I'm getting extremely frustrated with it. I have read all over that its a kit thats just a pain in the butt. I was hoping that anyone here that has built any of the L700 kits could post pictures of it being built and or already done so I could use them as a reference to how things go together. Right now I'm stuck around how to get the engine to sit properly and how to attach the exhaust. But I would really love pictures showing how everything is supposed to look and go together and go into reasonably good detail because I'm completely lost right now. I would really appreciate the help, and thank you in advance.

I love Hakosukas, Gorgeous build.

I love Brutal Legend, hands down has the greatest soundtrack put in a game, and I think the Druid Plow is the most hardcore, heavy metal hotrod ever. EDDIE RIGGS!!!!!

Thank you all for the help. the 91% isopropol alcohol worked wonders.

I'm almost finished with my current build and I was looking at the washer bottle for the wipers and I was wondering how I could make it look more realistic, giving it that foggy look. could anyone tell me how I might do that?

I've been trying to find some pictures of street gassers and I like the pictures posted here and was wondering if anyone could post more pictures like some street gassers because my mind works so much better if i have pictures to look at. I'm not going for an exact look I'm just trying to get some ideas and make it as close as i can to what I want with what I have.

Now that is just awesome. I love the old Hakosukas. Great Job.

WOW I wasn't expecting so many comments. I love all the info but I don't have money or a job to afford all those kits and books. I do like the idea of a street gasser and I'm going to look into it. Thank you all for the information.

Hi I just got a revell '62 impala special edition 2 n 1 kit for Christmas and I've been looking at alot of gassers lately and I really like that classic dragster look and I'd like to make this impala into a gasser but I'd like some insight on how to do it.

This is my first work in progress so here it goes. I got this kit from Paul Styron (fatkidd) who was kind enough to give me this kit. Thanks again! Anyways, I haven't went to deep into this one yet because I'm waiting until I can get some paint for it then I'll dive right in. I want to build a JDM civic and add a dash of bosozoku style but nothing extreme. Right now I'm fiddling with the engine which seems to be what I always do first. I'm thinking of painting it gloss black and making the hood white and red with the Japenese rising sun on the hood Also I'm having trouble deciding which rims to use. I'd rather use a set of longchamps like the ones below but I can't afford to buy a set so i'm kinda stuck with what came with the kit. as far as I can tell this is a great kit it should go together nicely. Thanks for looking, and Thanks again Paul.

Here's my workbench for the day. not much going on. got my psp for music, and i wish i had dish network on my tv instead of a ps2 but my dad doesn't wanna pay the extra money so oh well. It isn't to messy but that will change as I get into the build.

That's amazing. the car looks great.

I don't really know which type but I just tried it using color place flat black spray paint, and it just dulls them down some they don't really looked weathered so I don't know I'm going to try sanding them first and try again.
-
I haven't tried it but couldn't you spray them flat black?

That car is spotless, nice job.

Hi I was wondering where I could buy styrene because I've looked in my local Michaels, ac moore and even my local hobby shop and none of them seem to carry any evergreen or plastruct styrene. I'd like to scratch build part of the interior on a build and I need some styrene. I'd just like to know know where I could buy some at a good price.

This is hands down my favorite build so far. I went all out on this Build. I did my first chop top. I made a custom wooden bed. I did some wiring for the first time. I stole the engine and rear slicks off of my Chevelle (junkyard hero), and cleaned them up. Also I made My first custom exhasut from sprue. yeah this is definitely my most heavily modified build to date. It started like this and ended up like this I was going to put headlights on but I couldn't find a place where they would look right. I only wired the battery which i placed in the bed cause I thought It looked cool this is probably my last post for a while because I don't have anymore kits to work on and no money to get more. Thanks for looking

This was my first Hot rod. It's revell's '32 5 window coupe 2 n 1. This is a great kit. I had been wanting to do a hotrod/ratrod build but I couldn't find anything at michaels or ac moore. then a friend of my dad's told me about a little hobby store about 30 minutes from my house called uncle joes woodshed. they've only just resently started selling model cars so there selection was pretty small, they had maybe 20 kits. but they had a bunch of cool kits that the other places weren't selling, plus they were way cheaper. I saw the kit and immediately grabbed it. I didn't do anything drastic with this one. I got the front tires from an old diecast truck, and the rear slicks from a friend. I have a thing for putting only one seat in my builds, I like the stripped interior look. I took the seat from what was left over after my 350r build. I like how it turned out but I noticed that the engine is leaning way towards the passenger side and the grille is turned to the right slightly, and I'm hesitant to fix it because I'll probably break it try to adjust anything. see what I mean Thanks for looking

Thanks for the tips. I'l have to try them on my next build, whenever that's gonna be. As for cars I'm more for tuners like nissan/datsun or toyota. But when it comes to American muscle I'm a mopar guy. I grew up around people that were always raggin on fords but I think the old 60's mustangs are ok but they just aren't that impressive to me but thats just my opinion

In my opinion this is the best car in the world. I would take this car over Lambos, ferrari's, anything! and honestly I don't know why. maybe because alot of people I know make fun of it. It could be cause it's built like a car should be, just the bare minimum. You're in control, not the car. It isn't a computer on wheels like cars today. I really don't know why I'm so obsessed with these cars but whenever I drive mine and I stomp on the gas I just have chills go up my spine and I fell completely satisfied no matter how bad I feel, and I have yet to drive another car that does that. to say I simply, this is my dream car. now these pictures aren't of my real car but I've tried to get it as close as I can to mine. only real difference is that my car doesn't have watanabes and my interior is completely striped but I do only have one bucket seat in my car. now that I'm done ranting here's the pics of my model. The bumpers aren't glued in because I have more planned for this one. The decals are just stickers i printed off and put on I'd like to put seat belts in but I'm not sure what I could use Now you can go on about how muscle cars are better than tuners but I'll always chose my old eight-six over any car you throw my way. Thanks for looking

This build was for my brother so hence the name Brostang. It was finished in May or June I think. I'm not much of a Ford guy but for some reason I like shelby's, and older fords like the deuce. My little brother likes mustangs and bought this kit for me to build and I didn't want to be mean so I built it for him, and he's really happy with it. He still shows it to his friends when they come over. I did finally managed to do a half decent paint job at least compared to my other tries. It's still no where near the level I've seen looking around here. The only thing I really did to this was adding the exhaust tips. since this was taken I've sanded down the hood and resprayed it flat black and it looks much cleaner. DUSTY!! Thanks for looking
