  1. I have bought most of the 1'16 Scale kits from AMT, MPC, and Revell, which did a rare '82 Camaro Z28 Coupe, which I still have, even though I turned it into a phantom Convertible (bad move, decent result), and an '82 Firebird, which is still in my display. I have a couple of the AMT '64 1/2 Mustangs, one I built back when it was originally issued, and an un-built one with a crushed A pillar. I would love to correct the angle of the windshield pillars. I suspect that either the roof is too short, or the doors are too long. If I tackle this one, I am going to use an AMT ;66 coupe to base my measurements on, and scale it up to the 1,16 scale model.

    hiya Ron,

I would love to see pictures of the 82 camaro and firebird.where they Revell kits?....thank you Chris

  2. Great return to 12 an 13 years old.I felt tge samething, but it was more then mpc..but all kits.the excitement, smell and imagination ran wild in me...still does.

I fell in love with modeling at four in kindergarten when my friend David brought a AMT model kit..love at first sight..more to that story.but a different time.

I love old style box art...it just got your brain juices going.built and still have many mpc kit.a few on Adam's site I built and still have, fiero kits, vans, and the camero z kits...some many others not meantioned....love'em.....Chris

  3. I do like this trailer and wish they would release it again!

hi Jordan.I don't know..but agree,it would be nice to see it reissued.this is the first time I've had this kit.I usually make my own trailers.but came across these two from ebay.one was built the other was unassembled.but missing tires..as I remember.I never thought the top was the right height and didn't like the claboard type sides...have a great day....Chris

  4. Thanks guys for looking.the clear was glue ridden, so those parts I will not be using....sorry.I personally never saw claboard type walls on inclosed trailers.as for glue to use to leave it clear maybe 5 min expoxy well placed to iust hold it..like maybe the corners..then once cured, then small amounts of ca glue.I've never used expoxy for anything but clear for like glass on dash gauges, mark lights.I've used ca as well..both dry glossy....Chris

  5. thanks all,I thought this is suppose to be in the...Big Boyz section...thats where I started it...but thats ok to me.I don't know about others thoughts.

Its still in the purple pond..but getting cleaner.frame is going to be a callenge to get in the purple pond.I'll figure something.

I did get the engine pretty well cleaned.I started mods on it . didn't like the way engine was done,so trans (turbo 350) is removed, pan is off and the transfer case is off to.

the I suspect 350 sb now has heads removed and revells idea on the intake an top of heads being one is now seprated.will be cutting oil pan off as well..not alot done yet..lot's of work a head

  6. I'm building aAMTERTL 1994 car trailer.its a rebuilder from ebay.it came most parts but a glue-not quite-bomb.it had no paint and was taken apart alreadyIt was a mess in my opinion.

rebuilding it for my Revell 1997 Ford Expedition  (snap kit).its getting the rims on the trailer bed..but new ones from a friend.its getting wiring, anchor points and new ramps with aluminum  and brass for hinge points on the ramp.the plastic rod will be cut out.new tail lights, and hitch like the bull dog style.new landing gear and sand skid.

it has now mods to suspension

rebuilt tung and added strength to it and trailer break away box.

removed the tread plate and cleaned up the glue marks, trade marks and the bad sink marks and the tooling posts in tge fenders..they were pretty bad.

will have tow chains an electrical plug.a few other things to.

    thank you for looking....Chris

ps sorry for slightly out of focus picture.was shaking from medical problems.

  7. Quite honesty..I love large scale to build. there more fun to me then 25th an 24th scale.I would, and do have some of the other scales and subjects.there easier to detail, see and build.I don't keep most of my builds after done anyways.they get sold, given away or put in other places on loan.so were to put them isn't a issue..sides I feel they should be big so its easier for other to view them.everytime you go to a show..out comes the glasses...people getting close to see.watch the larger scales...there impressivem and get a audience. other scales like 24th an smaller do as well, but 16th and larger just seem easier to see and people look.most of what I build is 24th and 25th but only because...more available subjects.but I'm with on the drag T....I hope so.and what I've said is my own opinion, no one else's.just what I have seen over the years in contest, shows and club meetings....Chris

  8. I sure hope this goes here.I got a old built and missing parts Revell Chevrolet K20 pickup at our UMAG club meeting last night.it was built once most parts are there.what missing a little later.it came apart purdy easy...so far.its in the purple pond now,its stripping purdy easy.the rear and front axles are not want to come apart but they have to.

I ordered a chev smb from a 57 chev to replace the revell one..I'm hoping it looks better tgen the version in this pickup.

I haven't decided on what to do with yet...so working on that.its not going to be to high of a lift.interoir changes will happen, more accurate frame changes and many others that aren't worked out yet.many question some here can answer to....I hope.

I never found on google to much in the way of what wrong with this one yet...but still looking.a couple of things like the roof looks a little wrong.the badging says c20,but its a k..not c.other things I don't like about this kit...like the engine.I can fix some of the trans and I want the automatic in it.rear and front axles look wrong for a 3/4 ton.I don't  know if chev ever made a 78  stepside in a 3/4 ton version...oh well.

Parts missing I know of are

    air cleaner

    rear driveline

tires,I have on of the baja tires and two of smaller off road tires, thats all.have to solve that one.

    only one tail light.

    no front or rear bumpers.

I have a hood, but it has to round holes in it for the puller or monster truck versions.

thats what I know sofar.I don't instruction to have a parts count from yet.if anyone has a copy or know where I can get a copy I would appreciate knowing.

heres the pictures so far........Thank you for looking....Chris
