    71 challenger

As you requested And for the trunk I used some wire insulator with sortor wire run through it, then bent accordinly to work as a trunk hing...I hope that makes sense.
  9. Well welcome back to modeling, and nice choice of model. I did one a couple months ago, and it's a great kit.

    71 challenger

-.- I meant to put 70, and I think it was the Monogram...I put this together about 7 years ago, but I stripped it down a couple weeks ago to redo it.

    71 challenger

Thanks I actually almost owned one. The job I had about 10 years ago had me go past this guys house that had a white Chally hidden in some tall grass. I kept wanting to ask him about it, but I didnt think he would let it go. One day I decided to stop and check it out, and wouldnt you know it. Someone had stopped like 10 minutes before I did, and was already making offers. It was gone a couple days later.
  13. first off I really enjoyed building this. The challenger is my favorite muscle car. OK! sharpies are my friends now. They really help with the detail work. The door handles, signal light, and rims all done with a sharpie, and thats just on the body. Also their was the battery, air filters, some interiors, transmission, engine, and some chassis bolts. The silver mettalic sharpies are awesome! I dropped in some Ferrari bucket seats, made my own hurst shifter, did BMF for the chrome trim, made my own grill, and then the most pain in the ass part...the ###### tires. Useing a toothpick to paint the letters really sucked! >.< but well worth it. Also I ran brake lines all the way back to the rear tires, and a fuel line. I had to make my own exhaust cause the raised suspension got in the way of the old one, and added traction bars from a Nova kit...also I lost the front bumper long ago, but I dont mind. I really wanted an opening trunk on this model. I practiced on an old model about 6 onths ago, and I was waiting on an oppurtunity to use it on a detailed model. Again I messed up by not painting the inside of the trunk the same as the body, then the hinges >.< anyways...I also through in some trunk carpeting made with a flat blacked paper towel, then through in a spare tire. I took out the 440 and dropped in the 426 HEMI wedge. I added what details I could. I switched out the original dual carbs for something a bit more detailed. I added a throttle spring, but I kinda screwed up the trottle line running into the firewall. I should have found something smaller, now it looks like a air hose running from it -.- also I still havent run the radiator hoses...its on the list of to do's. I made the pully system with a rubber band, ran spark plug wires, again I wish I could have found something smaller. I also ran fuel lines, and brake lines. OH! and I put in hood clips. ...I forgot to mention that i used BMF to make the gas tank straps >.>
  14. Holy hell that VW is way out there!!! I love it lol
