3rd gen Nova. helped push some girls who had one stuck in the sand late 70's. My second car was a 72 nova. and still have 1 to this day.

These are from the 70 LT-1/ZR-1 AMT Corvette. To build a stock ZR-1 it needs these and the radio delete decal.

A workmate and I were just talking about how we're due for a really good, really driven (read as no CG), epic car stunt movie that becomes a lasting standard. What I don't get is why these movies always shoot themselves in the foot with brainless, paper thin scripts. Does Hollywood think that devoted car guys just want eye candy and fragmented one liners? Maybe marketing says they do, but I still have faith in the expectations of the thinking car guy.
Have some of you ever seen the car movies of the 60's and 70's? Times havent changed that much, just the cars.

Back when I was driving a tow truck, I had a call for a stolen recovery. I show up to a 4 runner that was partially in the weeds, with no front wheels and a few other missing stuff. Sheriff has me sign papers and takes off, and I didnt look at them. I get to the back of vehicle and the back wheel werent there and either was the axles.
So any way i was to load up and take to Magic Toyota where it was stolen from while in for repair. I get there and they refused the vehicle, saying it was more damaged then they were led to believe. I take back to our tow yard, and the owner shows up to see his car, and was visably upset. This vehicle then just sits around for week while the insurance battles it out, then the dealership says they are not responsible for theft or damages while on thier lot. It is right on the work order that every customer signs when they drop off cars for almost all repair shops in our area. The owners insurance company gets out of paying, and I was never clear on that, so we tow it to a 4x4 junk yard and they give the owner some money for it. The money he got wasnt even close to what he owed on it, so he did get kinda screwed on the deal.
About a year or so after I left the tow company, the owner of the vehicle trys to sue the tow company because of the police report. He thought I stole the parts the sheriff didnt itemize on the report.
So anyway, in Washington state you gotta watch what you sign for when you leave your property in the hands of others.

Does having collectors plate on it limit the miles driven per year?
Yes around 2500 - 3000 miles per year but it doesnt really get driven much.

My 83 El Camino has been modified and now since it is over 30 years I will get a collecters plate and will never have to worry about it again. (famous last words)

The Revell Gary Ormsby Dragster comes to mind. They printed 1991 NHRA Top Fuel Champion when he was the 1989 World Champion. Gary passed in 91 from cancer.
I still have 4 unopend ones.

Tim..can i spray it on un-primered plastic ??...i am spraying the Cat D8 tracks..
I never spray anything unless I have a primer.
-
thanks men..i needed to spray some of the steel..
Ok just to throw my 2 cents in, only the chrome needs the gloss black undercoat. I have used steel, aluminum and magnuisum with just a flat black/grey base.

I used 3" ABS, and cut it into 10" sections. It is pretty cheap, about $15 for 10 feet. I used clear silicone to glue it to a pine board.
I had bought some smaller and that wouldnt hold a couple pcks. Thanks for letting me know what size.

Basically what I did, but glued ABS pipe to a board. and made slots from wood for the sheet plastic. I grouped strip/rod/tubing by type / shape, not size (round, quarter round, tubing, strip etc). It doesn't really show but there is a third row of tubes for the brass.
Can you tell me what size is the PVC that you used? I like your set up.
