This is the vehicle commandeered by the protagonists when their SWAT truck tips over. it's a monogram kit and is basically box stock.
doing decals was hard because i needed both black and white text for each side. i also have the bumper sticker on the rear 'Praise the Lord'
i sent my artwork to Pattos place and he printed it for me. You can buy it off him if you want it. Find it under "Chv S-10 Pickup - Trminator 2".
at some stage i will probably build the crappy shed on the back of it

it looks pretty right on the money

Where did you get the snowman figure?I'm assuming the figure comes with a kit
The figure is Adam kit from Prieser.

Nice work. I think I've seen those somewhere before
(yeah, scale auto, partsbox, finescale, ozbuilders... i get around a bit (spread the love).

i've been meaning to do some corrections on my own elvira macbremobile, as the revell decals for the seats is tan and black, instead of white and black as Psychographic has done.
oh, you just need to plate to finish it off. (if i remember correctly, it's california "KICKASS").

i saw a diorama on scale auto some years ago was a christine car being crushed by the dozer. he'd posed the AMT catapillar (with added cabin) on top of a crushed AMT belvedere, making the damage areas from foil.

it really has a lived in charm. lots to keep the eye busy!

Ferrari rear end is a nice custom touch. who'd a thunk it'd fit in so well?

If you haven't seen this movie, you're lucky! it's taken a poor script (sm2) and made it worse.
Its so bad that Burt Reynolds wanted nothing to do with it. The basic premise is Big Enis challenges the retiring Sherriff Justice to make a cross country run and gets the Bandit to stop him. Without the Bandit, the task falls to his sidekick (snowman). He gets a new trans-am for this outing, which is a 82-83 Pontiac Firebird, its' virtually the same car used in the Knight Rider, so that's where i started, with the MPC KR kit. i basically stockified the KR kit. I removed the distinctive nose scanner and changed the steering wheel to stock. i did have a 99 firebird dash that i was going to use, but i couldnt' find it in my parts box when it came time to build, doh. I added the distinctive gold band before masking and painting the gloss black. it polished up nicely.

this is the 1/16 Dukes of Hazzard General Lee Dodge Charger by MPC.
the kit depicts a 'stock racer' and doesn't have some of the factory parts that i scratchbuilt, like the engine bay and the rear seat.

added the seat belts. the shoulder strap had to be added after the body was on because it joins both roof and floor
how it progresses. note box for my 1/12 mustang.
old modellers trick. sand the tread of the tire to improve visual realism. here it's half done
front grille added. basically done
how the engine looks at home
how the chassis looks finished.
finished model fills the desk. it's certainly impressive if you want a model with wow factor. it's a pity that so much of the assembly was done at the factory (if i'd know i would've asked for one completely unassembled).
here's the included a replica glove box manual.
Here's a scale difference to show how big it is. on top is my 1/25 scale xy falcon gtho (moffat).

This is my Icon Models Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase 3. it's a diecast kit (pre-painted and partly assembled)
At 1:8 scale it's huge and heavy. Assembly was fairly straight forward, the hardest part was putting in the wiring loom.
This is my ICON models 1/8 scale Ford Falcon model. it's diecast pre-painted and pre-tampo-decaled. worth a mighty thousand bucks, this kit only required a couple nights to assemble. There's a lot of detail in it, but given it's size its not that surprising.
Pre Assembled 351 v8
part assembeled the chassis/interior
one wheel to give idea of size
building the wire loom (hardest part)
engine in place
more interior
the doors were already added at the factory so they could be correctly aligned.
dash in place. see, it really is a HO by the badge on the glove box
body to chassis

it's a nice photo, but most 1:1 photographs of cars will have full field of view (not blurred close and far away). it's actually one way to make a 1:1 car look like a model is a narrow focus.
Bluesmobile - 74 Dodge
in Model Cars
Posted
The bluesmobile. the amazing unstoppable ex-police car from Blues Brothers movie.
This model was made from a resin body from Moparman Jim (from the confederate general lee forum), on a Goon car interior/chassis and wheels from the spares box. The chassis interior was originally used for a bluesmobile i built some time ago. but it was a 77, not the correct 74 shown here so it was already detailed as required. After painted, i used decals from Pattos Place and then weathered the whole lot.
