Hi Ron, The magazine has had some difficulties in the recent past and is in the process of rebooting. Gregg Hutchings still owns the magazine. There's a new team in place here at MCM, myself included, that's behind the "new and improved" magazine. MODEL CARS Magazine is published bimonthly, as in, 6 times a year.

We've got a fabulous team in place that loves the magazine, loves the model hobby, and is determined to bring back the spirit of the original Scale Auto Enthusiast magazine. We've gotten quite a few inquiries about subscriptions since we announced the reboot of MCM some time ago. I'd like to take this opportunity to answer all the outstanding subscription questions. 1. EXISTING SUBSCRIPTIONS Those of you who have a subscription to MCM still in force (in other words, if there are issues left on your subscription) will receive the new magazine going forward. Gregg has informed me that you can check the status of your own subscription. The mailing label on your last delivered issue (on the bag the magazine came in) will show the issue number of your last subscription issue. Please note we go by issue number, not cover date. For example, if you bought a one year subscription and your first delivered issue was #201, then the label will show your final issue (if not renewed) would be #206. Direct Inquiries to Gregg regarding subscription status may result in a delay at this time. Any questions regarding subscriptions should be sent to subscribe@modelcarsmag.com. 2. NEW AND RENEWAL SUBSCRIPTIONS After careful consideration, there will be no change to the subscription rates until January 2021. The current rates are as follows: USA DOMESTIC SUBSCRIPTION RATES One year (6 issues) - $30.00 USD Two years (12 issues) - $50.00 USD Three years (18 issues) - $75.00 USD FOREIGN (OUTSIDE OF USA) SUBSCRIPTION RATES One Year Foreign (6 issues) - $55.00 USD Two Years Foreign (12 issuies) - $95.00 USD Subscriptions can be purchased online at https://www.modelcarsmag.com/subscribe/ using a credit card or PayPal. UPDATE ** UPDATE ** UPDATE It's been a while since my last update, and please don't take that as a bad sign. The new team has been as busy as all get out assembling the first new issue and leveraging content for it. Its looking good so far, and hopefully, we'll get it into print before too long. We have noticed the announcement from "those other magazine guys" that they are shutting down their website and their discussion forums along with the now dead magazine. While we recognize that to be the end of an era, we're pleased to announce that plans are underway here at MCM to revamp our existing website and to not only continue, but expand, our popular Forums. These improvements will happen in parallel with the relaunch of the magazine, bringing our three services - magazine, website, and forums - into a unified brand offering you even more model car-related news and information than ever before. I've personally gotten many emails and texts from many of you offering help with the relaunch of the magazine. First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your kind offer of assistance! Its comforting to know that we have so much support in this effort to bring you the best car modeling publication possible. And for those who have volunteered contributions or have inquired about writing for MCM, very soon we will be posting revised writer's guidelines both on the Forums and the website. These will also include specifications for submitting photography. Keep an eye out for these guidelines, and we look forward to many more new contributors to the pages of MCM.
