  4. This is weird because I actually do race cars w/ my father & have seen up close A real Promod, let alone for the past 15 yrs. Been around the race track for about 30 to 40 years. No ones being serious, just giving input & opinions. Keep building strong & hard. You are good.
  5. The wing doesnt look like a winged express ironing board anymore(just messin). Looks 110% better. Please take this with heart your motor looks great but its overpowering the car.
  6. Sorry to everyone for not giving updates. Been working long hours @ job. I bent the styrene rods w/a bic lighter. Just a little heat before it melts. For the tin work I didnt mold anything. The styrene was cut & glued w/ ca glue w/ insta-set the wheel wells were bent by rolling over my fingers then glued in place. I used templates from paper 1rst then cut out styrene for finished piece. Just gotta set & look a few times before it fits or looks good. Thanx D.J.
  7. Just the start. The Frame(Tin work) is made from styrene sheets that I had lying around. The chassis rollcage is also fabed from styrene rods. The body is the original 1/16 scale Stingray Corvette by MPC which I chopped, streched, narrowed & cropped. The spoiler, scoop, & rockers are also fabed from styrene. All the measuring & fabricating was worth it because it all fits together like a glove.Beleive it not there is no bondo on this body. Everything else will be hand crafted from the suspensions to the seat ect. I'm going to try to fab everything by hand instead of using aftermarket & lathing products. Not sure what kind of motor I'm going to use yet but it will be BLOWN. Thanks for everybody's comment & I'll try to keep everything posted. D.J.smadplastic.

  15. Hi Tim my name is D.J. (djsmadplastic)I dont know who wrote those comments but they are correct. I did build the motors in Greg Talors cars. the 2009 camarow was my build 2 yrs ago. The 55 nomad body & motor is also my design. Why or if greg said he built them is beyond me. I dont understand why.He could have at least mentioned that i built those paticular items for him. Once i get my pics downloaded I will send them to you.Do you a e-mail address i can send to you? Or check out my album now that i set up with M.C.M. still working on it. thanks for listening. By the way there are some fantastic builders on this site!Looking forward to seeing more.Thanxxx again D.J.(Good Grief)
