Does anyone know if the Dukes of Hazzard Rosco police car was the first release of that particular kit? I know it has been released under many other titles since (TJ Hooker, Batman, CHP) but the Rosco version is the earliest I recall.

I have a diorama that with 4 grain of wheat bulbs for lighting- currently they are all wired to in parallel and running to a model railroad transformer (wall power, 12v output). Is there a way I can connect these to battery power? I have a show to display at where I won't have access to electricity. Any help is appreciated! Mark

On the heels of my Hazzard Garage dio, I'm diving back into some 1/25 Dukes of Hazzard modeling. This time I'm attempting to replicate the iconic locale from the show, The Boar's Nest. The original set from the show existed in 3 forms: 1) a real building on location in Georgia for the first few episodes of the series, 2) an exterior facade set on movie studio land, and 3) an interior set on a soundstage at Warner Brothers Studios. The exterior facade set was moved a few times to different plots of land over the run of the series, and the interior set had a number of changes throughout the 7-year run (including a couple radical rearrangements of the layout itself). Given the multiple changes, I have chosen to match the most often seen and familiar details. I noticed last October that your yellow wrecker in the Gatlinburg store need some repair- likely nobody there wants to attempt it. I might have a few General Lee parts in the junk yard, but it should mostly be patrol car parts! Plus it should have the patrol car cut in half by the sawmill, and Daisy's burned out Plymouth!

I went to the Dukes stuff first of course, but its all great- Is that the Yellow wrecker thats in Gatlinburg? Your weathering is excellent- I'm hoping to add a junkyard to the back of the Hazzard Garage so I'll be referring back to your pics for some inspiration.

You've reached a lot of people whether you know it or not. The yellow wrecker is a perfect choice to have on display too- most casual fans don't remember that Cooter had a yellow wrecker, much less a Ford! All anyone knows is the red, white, and blue towtrucks. I appreciate that compliments, but know that you are part of the story too- its really you and Tubios Bethards (who's Hazzard Square and Duke farm models are at the two Tennessee stores) that inspired me to start Dukes models of my own. Do you have a website with all your models someplace? Mark

You are Mark Hook! Your name is famous to me because I've been staring at your yellow wrecker model for years every time I go to the Gatlinburg Cooter's! (yes, its still there). I searched for you a couple times online but never found anything- I'm VERY to make contact! I love your builds- I've seen most before through google searches, but never realized they were yours. Funny how we all end up gravitating in to the same places- Hazzard is a small world!

I need some help from those who know big rig kits. I have the old AMT BJ and the Bear Kenworth cab kit, but I'd like to find a suitable van to add to it. What kits are available (OOP or otherwise) that are reasonably accurate to the one used in the show? Any help is appreciated! Mark
