Bare metal foil question
catd11rpusher replied to catd11rpusher's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Well I'm trying small pieces and I have trouble with sticking, I have cleaned it good. I take a 1" piece and put it on the flat area of the winshield, but I;m having trouble with the corners. I use a sharp knife, and tooth picks to try to get it to stick onthe corners but have a lot of trouble. I know practice makes perfect. I feel like a clutsz with 900 lbs hands. -
k I just got my black foil yesterday, I read the directions BUT heres the thing, I'm doing the front molding on my 123 kenworth around the windows. I cut a piece 1.5 long and alittle wider than the window molding, is that correct? you use multipull peices to go around the window? I don,t mean to be stupid but the cats out of the bag, HELP

blacken the radiator screen
catd11rpusher replied to catd11rpusher's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thank you chris,I will practice on something, I don't have a extra grill. I'm going to get some ink at a. craft store Thanks Chris -
Here is my question, how do or what do use to blacken the inside of the radiator screen. I see in the picks you guys blacken the inside of the radiator screen. Its ever so slightly, a blackting to it. OK you guys give up the hot tip. Do you use water color to give it that ever so slight black look. THANK YOU ALL for any help.

Tim as always, the paint job is really nice, I hope I can make my trucks look that good, I'm getting a air brush kit next week and practice makes perfect! You do REALLY nice work. Thanks for all your help -
Please tell what is a good air brush kit, I saw one at my hobby shop for 22 bucks and it has self propellent can with it. I have a full size compressor but I don't want to buy $$$$$ worth of regulators. I'm just looking for a air brush under 50.00 or alittle more that will give good effects, and don't cost a arm and a leg. I see on line for 50.00 to 70.00 bucks for beginners, but there is a lot of them. Please give me alittle insite thanks all. I'm checking out a badger 200 deluxe set for 70.00 bucks is that good?
