This is my diorama based on the 1964 Jan and Dean song Little Old Lady from Pasadena. I saw the figure from Jimmy Flintstone at my LHS and the wheels started turning I planned on building a car to go with the figure and leaving it at that. But as I went along it grew into a dio the dog is because I had to come up with some reason for the old lady to be shaking that umbrella.
I found a picture on line the other day that I really like so I think I'm going to try to do a model of it. It has our finky friend in a deuce with Minnie Mouse and a very unhappy Micky running after them. I will be doing the car and figures in Sculpey. This is the picture, I will post a few progress pics when I get started.
I found a picture on line a while back and decided to do my own version. I started with a 1/25 scale Revell Peterbilt and did a little cutting and trashing and this is what I came up with.
This is the picture I found.
This is my version.
I have some new pictures of the RR I have added the engine combining the RR engine with a Peterbilt truck motor to make it a little bigger. I also changed the back end I decided I didn't like the exhaust set up I had. I'm just about done with the construction and will be painting and weathering soon.
Happy Thanksgiving every one, I have a few more progress pics of the RR I have built up the back more and worked on the skeletons. Let me know what you think.
I need some advise I've decided to put the RR on a base when I get it finished and I want to make a small diorama. I would like to add a palm tree or two, what is a good way to make them in 1/24 scale. I would greatly appreciate any help you guys can give me.
Thanks
I have a few progress pictures the RR it's pretty rough, I just got the back started using parts from the Tiger tank. I'm thinking about changing the front wheels they look a little small next to the tank wheels and tracks.
Thanks for the comments guys I have the 1/35 scale King Tiger wheels and tracks done in the back. (I got the tank kit cheap because the box was open) of course I left out a couple of wheels and some track sections. Know I can start building the half track part on the car body. I will post some pictures when I get some of the back done.
I built the Polar Lights Hulk a while back I repositioned the arms, I never liked the position the arms were in, and used an after market head and base. The head came from Cult of Personality and the base is from Night Owl Models.
Hello everyone I have a new project in mind, I'm getting a Rommel's Rod this week and I'm planning a little major surgery.
I'm going to use the wheels and tracks from a 1/35 scale German tank and scratch build the rear area from Rommel's real half track.
I will post progress pics when I get started.
This is a picture of the half track.
This is a picture of what I'm thinking of doing.
Thanks for all of your comments guys, those are the only pictures I have so far. The Connie is on display at my local hobbyshop right now I may be able to get some better pics in the future.
Here is a closer view of the bridge area.
I used the 22" Cutaway Enterprise to build the USS Constellation NCC-1017 from the Doomsday Machine episode of TOS. When I saw the re mastered version I decided to do this project; I was inspired by the more extensive damage done to the CG Connie in this episode. I used the replacement parts from DLM and decals from JTGraphics.
This is my version of the war machine from the movie Mars Attacks and the old Topps bubble gum cards. I started with the clear dome from the Polar Lights Jetson's car, PVC plumbing parts and bits and pieces from my parts box. The victem is part from an old fish tank decoration. I have lights in the martians eyes the cockpit and a death ray on the robots chest.
