  1. Added the stitching to the steering wheel and mounted it to the crush sleeve.
  2. Thanks David. Made the flanges and the mounting hardware for the air cleaners.
  3. Not cast; individually machined from resin. Air filters…
  4. Thanks Bruce. Added the decals and installed the regulator into the fuel line.
  5. Fuel pressure regulator. Because it's mandatory for Webers… Machined aluminum.
  6. Thanks guys! Peter: The wires are a vinyl material. I'm not sure of the exact source because when I see something that could work for scale wiring of all sizes I grab it and stash it until the project comes along that could use it. It was prepped with lacquer thinner to give it a matte finish. It has enough tooth to accept decals, but I will seal them with clear lacquer once I'm done with the other hoses and lines as they are very fragile at this stage and will not stay attached for too long being applied the raw material.
  7. I drew the art and printed decals. The tops of the carbs have been installed and the fuel fittings were machined/fabricated and attached to them. A section of the fuel line is on too. It's starting to get tight between the carbs. But there is enough clearance for the linkages to work without rubbing the wires.
  8. Yes, it is getting tight, and it slows the progress a bit. I made and installed the throttle return springs; should be two because one is not safe. Made and added the lettering to the plug wires too. Also finished plumbing the rear brake lines.
  9. Thanks David, it's about the details at this stage... Got the cable and linkage installed. Still need to wind the return spring.
  10. Throttle cable guide with mounting bracket. Aluminum and stainless steel.
  11. Thank you David; I'm trying... Been working on the Weber carbs. Adding the linkages and more hardware. Even made the tiny screws to sync the carbs.
  12. Thanks Brad! I'll bring back the "Big Ruler" for some shots. We have ignition, wires… They will be routed properly after the carbs are installed. Also added the ground point for the battery, the clutch hydraulic line and some more oil lines.
  13. The headlights have been installed and wired. I made bulbs for the parking lights too. Radiator is installed. More electrical wiring getting done…
  14. The beginning of the spare tire hold down. PE frame and milled resin handle; brass hinge pin.
  15. The steering shaft was threaded through the header and into the rack & pinion. Then the scratch-built dash was installed.
  16. The welting for the fenders was cut from flat black vinyl. Taillights are installed and the fenders mounted to the body. The same material as used to make the welting was cut for the stone guards.
  17. I decided I could do better. So I made a new flange and nut with broached splines so the flange will fit onto the shaft like a real one.
  18. Crush sleeve and mounting nut for steering wheel/shaft.
  19. Phillips head stove bolts to hold the steering wheel to the coupler.
  20. Thanks John, and now it only takes about three weeks to make one.
  21. I made and added the tags. The year tag is the actual sticker material from one of my real cars with a custom made decal for the details.
  22. Thanks Brad. I thought about it, but I like the reflective look better. I painted the spokes of the wheel metallic gray then built up the black with Tamiya Smoke for a subtle gloss anodized black look. Still need to finish the rim.
  23. A mix of pearl white and silver was shot to match the reflective finish on the face of real plate. (The back was painted flat silver.) I made a decal that was applied to the front for the lettering.
  24. Thanks Bruce! I milled a license plate frame from some resin I cast into a blank first. I used dye to make it gray when I mixed it, this hasn't been primed yet. Front: Back:
  25. The brass center and aluminum ring are melded together. Front: Back:
