  1. I would like to see this one done Barry!!Do you have a shot of the swing arm??
  2. Nice bike.Where did you get that air cleaner??I assume the bike in the background is yours??I take it a welcome aboard is in order.
  3. Id love to obtain one or more myself!!
  4. nice build.Where did you get those pulleys??
  5. Thats one really cool van!!Ilove that. One model I always wanted and have never done yet!!Sooner or later.I keep eyeballing the 1/16 van!!
  6. Thank you very much Jairus.I saved pics to my reference folder and will make good use of it when that time comes. The last pic will be the biggest help.Very cool of you!!Will most likely be of brass of course. I will use this with reference to speed boat trailers then and see what my bench decides.
  7. I was watching one this week on ebay that went cheap, but let it go.The only thing I really am looking for is a trailer. If I can good good pics of the kit trailer, I can create one out of brass and be happier.I find this build a interesting idea as I have always done cars.My bike build and this are the first away from the "normal" for me.I am trying to figure out a good car/truck to build with this.I have eyed the tamiya nissan club cab 4x4's and contemplating that to haul this booger around??I do more surfing the net for ideas then I do building, perhaps why I have so many builds and so little work.So Im a model freak and a netaholic
  8. Well, I usually prefer doing scratch building in brass as it ismuch easier to keep straight.I have had a heck of a time with this frame.Still much to do.This oughta be a hotlittle car as it goes though.Or at least I hope so.
  9. She be 7.She enjoyed the snap.Thought I would push the envelope with her on this one to show her what can be done and that you can get out of the box once in a while. After this one, will let her somewhat loose to see what she wants to do on her own as far as swapping parts ect.We of course need to close in the middle and shorten the front and clean up the frame. After that, fairly simple.
  10. Yes, the front and rear springs will be brass and so wont the front axle.By the way it will also bear finned buick brake drums at all four corners.I am trying to finish up the motor mounts and tranny mount to my liking. There once, but did not like the positioning.Once done, I will try to get a quote for real chrome plating. If a good enough price, then it will be done right, otherwise will be aclad after I buy my air compressor
  11. Thank you Jairus.Yes, I will attempt to scratch a springer style fork set up.Right now I amtrying to scratch the engine mounts and rear brackets.Have so many different things going on, it takes me a while to get anything done so just bare with me and I will finish this sooner or later. Here is a pic of the white wall tires.
  12. Alright guys.My daughter built a snap tight at a show last fall and had a blast. My wife gave me the new re-issued 55 nomad for Christmas and the daughter liked it, so I have been working literally hand in hand with her to teach her some things about how to customize a model. She is loving it.She is much slower at things then I am, and thats not great since I take forever myself to get anything done  She is turning it into a pro street delivery. It will be black with a custom interior and will bear purple flames.
  13. Got this hull at a show for a buck. Was a very bad glue bomb, could not save everything. So, making a new top and dash. Also picked up two rails there in baggies for a buck as well so both of those hemis will be going into the back of this beast will do it old race boat style.Imust be honest, this has sat forgotten about until I saw the boat in our last issue.that was a good inspiration.
  14. I have a 32 3 window the wife got me for Christmas.I have chopped the top and sectioned it.I am also channeling it over a custom scratched frame done littlemans style. Will have a custom interior.Have not decided wether to use a blown firebird motor or a fuel blown hemi.I also will be opening the top.it will sit with skinnies up front and BIGGIES in the rear
  15. Here is another build on my bench. It is a 1/8 scalemodel T.I amcreating auncertain T style surfing woody wagon. The frame isout of brass naturally and near complete. It willsport areconfigured Pontiac block to represent a first year mass production pontiac for the nascar fans with a quick change rear end and dropped front tube axle. The body will be made from real wood.I have a long ways to go on this and as I am fresh back into modeling after many years break, I want this one to be show quality. I made a custom treaded wide white walled tire for the rear.I used a 32 dash and sliced n diced and opened. It will have a cowlmounted pitman arm steering with wood dash and brass instument panel. The cowl is cut from a kit model T.I will include pics.Enjoy
  16. I was given this very old model of the Testors Porsche 959 1/16 scale.I was mostly built, but never completed.I decided to take it back to the beginning. It was a mojor glue bomb and took alot of work to take apart and try to strip.I had alot of trouble trying to get paint to stick. Finally just used testors paint and now we are under way.It will be a gunmetal color with black and three toned grey interior. This is in primer right now and needing more to be done to the interior.I will include a primered shot for ya.
  17. Alright working on a Revell 1/12 scale old skool chooper.I am making the frame out of brass.Moving the tranny forward of the support bar.Making a bcomplete belt drive, replacing kit parts for real cogged drives.Raked the front so far.Wheels will be white walls. Not sure of the color yet.
  18. Now theres a familuar face and build!!
