Any ideas about slixx decals? Should I use decal solution ,,or just plain water to get decals off sheet with no probs? Dont want these to rip/seperate . Thnx S
  3. Hi all,,just wondering what may be out there for a "butterfly linkage setup" for a Hillborn injector setup? Ive got the injector feed lines setup+mounted but now IM trying to create a rod/linkage setup for the butterfly linkage. Any ideas? Thnx. S

Im trying to figure out how to make a "butterfly linkage" set-up for the injectors,,Ive got the injector feed lines setup,,but now I need the rods/linkage for the butterfly setup. Any ideas?
  5. Its a resin body,,and I have no idea who made it. No stampings/or lettering on anything,,so not sure. But thanks for the kind words.
  6. Hi all,,got this at a model club meet,it was already built. I traded 2 of my 1/25th built cars for this and a new tamia 1/12th bike kit. Did a comlete teardown,,stripped the paint,,and rebuilt from the ground up. Cool kit ,,not too many of them out there. Cheers!

  9. Howdy all, happy labor day. Just a recent WIP,,a swap meet trade,,a total glue bomb ,,was already built, So I took it apart,,stripped all the paint and rebuilding from the ground up. Got Slixx decals for it on the way now. This is the 1st AWB cornet I have,,should be fun. Cheers!
  10. HOLY Cow!! I could swear you could start that thing up on a dyno!
  11. Wow,,thats going to be nice for sure. good job
  12. Ive used EZ-OFF oven cleaner for yrs,,{in the YELLOW can},,all you do is spray it on,,let set for 1/2 hr,,use an old toothbrush/warm water at the sink and scrub off,,if its really old paint,,or multipule coats of paint,,you may have to do 3-4 cycles of this process,,and it doesnt harm the plastic at all.
  13. OMG!!!! I WANT THIS!!! I had at least 10 of these when I was kid,,I built choppers out of them,,dirt bikes,,and everything in between!! Remember the chrome springer front ends,,w/the shifter,,,and small front tire w/drum brake?,"Apple krate" "Lemon peeler" "Cherry picker",,ect,,,man I love these old stingrays. BTW,,these are worth alot of $$ if in good condition these days. VERY COOL,,great to see this!!
  14. Well,,I tell ya,,,I live on the west side of MTR CTY,,and theres PLENTY of old industrial sites around here,,,River Rouge Ford plant is a good one for the look you may want,,maybe look on the web for pics of it,,and Greenfield Village,{Henry Fords personal museaum he built} has some cool stuff to consider,,and the Chrysler Hammtramick plant is pretty old school looking as well,,Im sure theres pics on the web of these, and others.
  15. Wow,,Im speechless! love it!
  16. Thanks guys,,yea its fun to just get out the dremmel tool,,a pot of coffee,,and a good motorsport show on TV and have at it!Thanks for the kind words.
  17. Wow,,do you have any posts where you show how you do that? or maybe somewhere here to learn that skill? Id like to check it out.
  18. Great work,,,just wondering how you got the radius's at the back of the frame tubes? Look forward to seeing it as it comes along.
  19. Hi all,,not sure why I built this,,maybe because the winters here in MTR CTY are long and cold! lol Its a kit-bash,,I thought what it would be like to put the driver in the bed of the truck,,and the mtr in the passenger area. Chevy 409 mtr/671 GMC blower,,shortened rear end,,cut off the top to give open air for mtr,,used a engine cover from a Dodge 300 van doghouse cover for dash platform. Lots of leftover parts from the "leftover parts box",,gauges, roll bar,,tires,,mags,,ect. Wonder what it would be like to drive this thing?
  20. The only thing missing is the key to turn the ignition and start it up!! lol it looks that real!
  21. Fantastic!! Is that Grand Sport Vette style intake setup? It looks similar to one,,I used to watch these,,and all the trans-am cars of the late 60's-70's race at MIS{Michigan International Speedway} when I was a kid. Love these ols trans -am style cars,,great job!
  22. Beauty! Where in the world did you get this? its hard to find these type kits in the states. E-bay?
  23. Wow!! Love these trike kits. I remember in the 70's,,I got a 1/16th kit called "The Draggin Wagon" and lost it yrs ago,,,not sure where it went,,but Ive always been on the lookout for it since.Look forward to seeing what you come up with.
  24. Wow,,thanks guys,,,Im seeing alot of really great builds on this site here,{not so much mine}but man ,,love to see so many still into building models in general,,I couldnt live without it! I dont always have alot of time to do it,but when I do,,I enjoy every minute. All the best to ya in 2012!
