Hello I have a question for you where do you get your parts for you trucks? Someone from here sentme this site http://www.aitruckmodels.com/pages/kitsparts.html I curious to what you think of there kits? Also I was wondering if you knew of a site that sold light duty truck cabs something like C60 chevy truck for example? Oh by the way I'm a huge fan of your work. -
Here I built a 0pel blitz medium 3 ton which was a fire truck kit.I replaced the tank with a flat deck and deck sides.I also made the hood open as the original cab the hood was solid with the cab one piece I mean.I also added to the hood and fenders so the truck looks like it has a set back axle. Some of these trucks had set back axle according to my research.I also made this truck a 4x4 and some trucks were 4wd too.I added a bush bumperandmadethe truck look rusty .Here are some pictures. http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=006-2.jpg http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=010-3.jpg Engine bay http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=009-2.jpg

Hey guys I figured I'd put up one of my latest builds can't stay away from building too long.I build a 1978 Chevy pickup crew cab 1 ton daully 4x4.I used almost 3 kits for parts for this build.I also added a big block 427 from a corvette kit.I kinda made look like a fishing and camping truck. The truck still needs some more work but its coming long.Still working on finding a boat too to complete the build as well I have camping trailer to for this unit which I'll be posting soon too. http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=001.jpg Front view http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=002.jpg Engine http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=003.jpg

If been wanting to build a replica of my 1975 Camaro.I spent lots of time on restoring this car and many long nights. There was a few add on to the 1:1 scale car I did I added a hood from a 1980 Z28 camaro put in all new interior. The body was rough at the start but that got rebuilt to prefect. The drive tran is 383 ci with over 425 hp and borg warner 4 speed and 4 .11 gears .Just a super fun car.So the replica model is pretty cloose to the original car .So you guys be the judge and tell me what you think. http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=001-3.jpg http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=003-10.jpg http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=006-5.jpg http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=007.jpg http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=008-2.jpg

greymack replied to greymack's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Hi Mike thanks for the info yeah this was my first older truck mod.I mostly build muscle cars and semi trucks.I do plan on building another f800 tow truck in the future and a 55 chevy 3 ton. -
Well I have custom built a 1955 Ford F800 it turned out pretty good.It was alot of work since I used 2 kits to build this on.I also used a dodge L700 frame and stretched it.I used most the 55 ford kit to build it.Well everyone have a look. http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=001-5.jpg http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=001-6.jpg Some more pics http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=002-4.jpg http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=003-5.jpg http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=002-5.jpg The finished truck http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=003-6.jpg http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=001-7.jpg

greymack replied to greymack's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Hello there what I used for the hubs was a piece of 1/8 inch round styrene rod.I had to custom make all hubs its pretty easy.It was a pretty good model.I have a few other 1/25 scale semi trucks I'm going to build as day cabs some day. -
Hey there guys I have a nice picture of my Mack R day cab build. It was a sleeper model from a Mack r conventional 1/32 scale kit.I looks pretty cool.I added my own touch to the truck. http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=001-3.jpg

Painting raised lettering on tires?
greymack replied to retro89's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Hi the best way I think to paint raised lettering is to put a thin coat of paint on a flat surface like glass or cardboard and place the tire on the paint .Then press lightly on the tire.It takes a bit of practise but it works great.I use acrylic white paint and then paint a coat of future over the letters on tire.Hope that helps. -
Resin 1 Ton daully rims for GM,FORD,DODGE or other makes of vehicles. The rims fit 1/24,1/25 scale model tires.I'm selling them for 10 bucks or trade for something of interest. http://s1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc454/pigirondude/?action=view¤t=003-3.jpg
