  1. Hey guys and gals, long time no posts. As much as I hate to say it I may not get to complete my 18 wheeler Zombie Killer anytime soon. My wife just had our 3rd son and has been having a hard time recovering with some complications. We have been through alot lately including some rough hospital stays. My time is at a minimum right now and I have to put models on the back burner for a bit. Things are smoothing out for us but its gonna take a bit to get back to normal so hopefully I can complete it before the end of the year. My poor 8 year old son has been patiently waiting for me to resume the build since he was a big help with it. Everyones projects look killer and I love seeing the progress when I get a chance to peek in here. Keep up the good work and I will see you all soon hopefully with some progress.
  2. I cant wait for this weekend when I can fianlly jump back on my rig and hopefully make some serious headway on it. Everyones build are looking great, I look forward to seeing more.
  3. Finally got out to my storage and got the trailer. Im gonna be working on the whole rig this week and hope to make some progress. Also have thought up a few more bits to add to it, maybe they will get added this week too.
  4. Small update, got the upper cannon temporarly mounted. Im leaning towards the mobile lab once the trailer is done so I want it to have some futuristic style weapons as well as field applied bits. They started with the truck and trailer at the government facility they worked at, stole and mounted some experimental weapons and then took off cross country. Along the way they added armor and other defense weapons as they came across them.
  5. Small update, works been busy so this has been the first chance I have had to work on it. Door armor and sleeper armor.
  6. Thank you, they were done late one night with some sprue, candle and a pencil sharpener. I was just experimenting to see what I could come up with. I hope to make some progress this weekend and post some more pics.
  7. Here is my entry. I am using an old AMT Canepa Kenworth model for the base and also will have a trailer to pull behind it as soon as I dig through my storage to find it. I am either gonna go with a mobile lab some scientist are using to reverse the zombie virus or a just a group of survivors living out of the truck and killing zombies along the way. I have just started it and my zombie loving 7 year old son will be helping along the way. I will post updates as I can but I work quite a bit so my progress may be slower then some.
  8. I havent made any progress lately due to illness and starting a new job. Hopefully this week I will have some new pics up. One question, Does anyone have a line on a Blacktop warriors Killer Bee kit? I am wanting to build a real life version and would like to build the kit first so I can see all my ideas in 3-D first. I searched on here but was unable to find anything. Any help would be appreciated.
  9. Thank you Blake, I have enjoyed looking at this thread and have always loved post-apocalyptic cars so I figured it was a good time to build one. A little about me: Im 35, married with 2 sons and live in middle Tennessee but originally from the burbs of Chicago. Been modeling since I was my sons age of 6 and now I have gotten him into it. Me and him are building theses together so it should be an adventure in patience. The first is an old Nascar kit I have had for years and have stolen parts out of for other builds so it is gonna be more of a curbside build. I robbed a few Warhammer 40k kits I have for weapons and some armor. Its gonna be a fast attack vehicle, good for getting in, blowing things up and getting back out when speed it a priority. Rocket launchers on top and driven using a FLIR system ( the thing just sitting on the hood for now). Still quite a ways to go but should be a fun build. The second is replacing the F350 cause when I pulled the kit out I had forgotten I had stolen the frame awhile back for another truck build. Its an old SnapTite wrecker from Revell I bought years ago. Gonna do minimal armor but mount a big gun on the back as well as other doo dads needed to survive a holocaust. I hoe you guys will like them and I will post prgress pics as I get time to work on them.
  10. Is it too late for a newbie like me to add to the madness? I have a Ford F-350 Duallie IM working on as well as a car/thing I would like to put on here as soon as I can get some progress pics of them.
