  6. Hey Walt! are you trying to build it Hurst factory correct? If so...the front seats are out of an a-100 pick-up or van,not Dart seats. They are incorrect.Just a piece of friendly advice... Roy
  7. Hey Bill! Thats a great lookin' rig you got there...Give Louisvilles a chance...they'll grow on you!!!
  8. Yes it was a 36 inch crawl through sleeper.also single stack, single air cleaner NTC350 Cummins.I hope that helps...Thanks Roy
  9. Actually it belonged to my brother Barry who passed away in 2001.I put up 10 years ago and "forgot about it".So I'm it's "caretaker" now...I intend to pass it down to my son someday!!!Back in it's heyday it always drew a crowd just to watch it do a full "1/4 mile" on the scale dragstrip all the way up on the "wheelie wheels"...just like thr real truck!!! Alot of our racing friends tried to duplicate it with very little success...Because those huge rear tires was most of the trick(they are extremely hard to find, even now)!!! Thanks Roy
  10. Hey Jim!!! mine currently has a 3406 CAT,But, I'm trying to put a trade together with Dennis TO GET A V903 and 475 Twin turbo Cummins engines. The real truck is considerably "repowered"!!! Not sure of the engine size...But it has 700HP!!!!!The studio used several trucks during filming... Some were NTC350'S and one was a V903...and Claude Akins could easily tell the difference when he drove them!!! I hope that helps... THANKS FOR ALL THE COMPLIMENTS FROM EVERYONE'S INPUT!!! Thanks Roy
  11. Hey Frank!!! I knew...in the back of my mind...I should have put in all the info,But, I didn't,MY BAD!!! But I think everyone should be on the same page now...LOL!! And I know the dvd's are expensive!!! But$250-350.00 is right from my checks on line!!!
  12. Great looking job!!! Here's a pic of the one I built 10 years ago from the 1969 383 Dart GT...
  13. I was digging through some old model boxes and found this... and this... and this... I hope y'all enjoy a blast from the past!!! Oh,It still runs!!!!
  14. Hey Frank!! I hate to bust your bubble, but, the truck was stretched years after the show to carry large grain containers! The dash placque from NBC is still there!! It's the real thing!!!
  15. Thanks again Matt,I need to get out more,LOL!! Too many projects not enuf' time...
  16. Hey Chris!! The truck is being built as it is on the road today. Paul Sagehorn owns the truck and uses the truck regularly...Along with his father Craig who operates the 1980 K-100c BJ and the Bear truck(the last one used in the tv show).Sorry I left that info out!! You should go to www.tvtruckin.com and view both trucks. Thanks Roy
  17. Hi y'all! This is an attempt at building a nearly correct TV series 1974 Kenworth W-900 Tractor. The only difference is that the real truck was stretched 2 feet and 4 bag air ride was added in place of the leaf spring rears. mine is stretched to match it,however, mine is Cat 3406 powered vs.cummins in the real truck.I started with the Aerodyne kit and after some cuttin' and fittin',I have what matches fairly close to the real truck...If the pic's don't stay "posted",this is my PHOTOBUCKET link.http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k269/ROY1964/ Here it is so far...
  18. Hello from Georgia! I'm glad to meet everyone

Some weathering has been done, but, only a little bit...This truck is gonna be in a diarama,To be finished before April 2011.Oh, by the way...This truck was a $10.00 "junker" I bought at a model show!!! Check out my PHOTHBUCKET link at the top of the post.
