  6. well got some paint on it today....it really sets off the chrome i think. i just realized i didnt have any clear on the hood yet when i took this picture. this thing looks awesome in the sun! thanks for looking!
  7. well, i picked this up the other day at wal-mart, and couldnt wait to get started on it. I highly reccomend this kit, because its very very easy to put together, theres not much to it, and its a good kit to customize to the sky cause its so basic. I have yet to put some paint on it, i had a nice "Roth-style" silver flake job on it, but when i tried to put the orange candy over top of it, the paint decided to not coperate with me, so i grabbed my cleaner that i always use to strip paint off cause it doesnt screw with the plastic, but i grabbed the wrong container by mistake and grabbed laquer thinnner, so after imersing the whole body in laquer thinner, i set it outside in the sun to flash dry after the color rinsed off. didnt really do alot of damage just kinda took away some of the badges that were on the body, so ill just shave em off. The only thing i didnt really like with this kit was that the tires were plastic and on the trees. im gunna try to do some wiring on this engine today, key word is try. thanks for looking and comments are always welcome!!!
  8. heres the update on my firebird drag car, i got the majority of the chassis done and have he ride height set, and also heres a `78 T/A i built fast just to do something different for a weekend..

  12. its been out for like two years and you havent tried it yet?! its good stuff
  13. orange peel in paint is when the paint is not completley level, or has a textured finish to it, basically its not smooth looking to the eye. almost every factory car paintjob has orange peel cause they never wetsand cars at the factory. they call it orange peel cause it looks almost identical to the texture on the peel of an orange. hope this helps if not i can scan some of my text from my wyotech manuals. Brandon

  19. wheres the spotlight?! Looks awesome man! 8)
  20. heres a couple of things im working on, first the 06 magnum kit, painted it with the testors metallic blue, used the 22`` wires from the 86 Monte "donk" kit, and the spare viper motor i had fit like it was ment to be in this kit, still have some detail painting to do, and need to locate some glass and the headlight and taillight chrome because i seem to of lost those. The model A is just mocked up still throwin around ideas for that one. sorry bout the blurryness on the motor pic too. thankx for lookin!
  21. awesome build! I love the black on black 8)
  22. well heres my first WIP post, started workin on this a while back, kinda going to be my first "attention to detail" model i guess you could say. Im doing a pro-street kinda setup on it. I am using the motor out of the TMNT Monster Truck kit, and then i also have put on the rear 1/4s off of a `65 Chevelle SS, i think the 1/4s seem to blend in rather well, and how i have them put on it kinda gives the car a rear wide body look. I just finished the interior yesterday, still have to do a couple of touch-ups, and i am going to opt to cut out the rear seat because of my wheel tubs are hitting, so im wishing i would of known this before i got everything painted :? I havent sanded any of the putty on the body yet, had to go to work and ran out of time today so i will have to try and get on it tomm. but just thought i would share, so comments are welcome! Sorry about the picture quality, i just got a new camera and i am still learing how to use it. Brandon
  23. i love the stances of the rods! hey and not to change the subject but the blue car thats on the wall in the 3rd picture down is the same car that is in my sig, i got the 5th car out of the mold, but had the first one done from wild-rod. sorry just thought id share. What age did you get your kin into modeling? i cant wait to get my son into it, hes three now, but hes kinda rough with stuff still.
