Probably this one. I built one like back in the 60's, and found this one recently. If memory serves me right I think it was a Lindberg kit back then.
-
Good for a chuckle.

What I'll do is build something different. Maybe a plane or ship, or a figure model. Somethiung just to break the monotony.

What can I say I get distracted easily. While pondering which way to go with the Cop Shop, and Bus depot, I started this one.
]
It came with 2 different roofs. So what to do with the 2nd roof? Why not build a garage for the place.
Don't you just hate when these rich young guys have all of the Kool cars.

Got some more done.
Looks like the Pinball wizard is in the house. Funny thing was when I shot this pic, the oldies station played that song.

Next we needed benches. I made 4 of them, and each one will hold 12 people.
Finally PEEK-A-BOO. -
A sincere thank you to all. -
.Here is the sign that came with the kit.

Here I improved it I think. I used 3-D letters like they use on Menu Boards to make it stand out a bit.
Added a tile floor, as the base plate piece I put in waas uneven. Now all is level for the interior stuff.
And finally you can catch the local, or go long distance on the Greydog.
More to come soon. -
Great job, but the log must go.

While waiting on some deatils for another build I got this done. Here are the side bay roofs, I painted them with Asphalt paint (thick) then added fine ballast to it for a textured look.
Next I add new floor for the interior.]
Getting in the windows, and put a wash on it. -

Here is one side of the canopies mocked up. -
The last pic shown I have actually seen happen only with semi's. First time was a bull rack that passed me 70MPH on ice. Parked the tractor, and trailer both on the gaurd rail.

Went out today to do some shopping, and found these in the Christmas aisle. They are from Lexmax, and run off batteries.
I bought 4 sets. they were priced at $6.99, but got $1.40 off. Check out these at the local craft stores, or anywhere that may have the Christmas Village items. They also had a set of 2 square spotlights that run on batteries. -
Now this thought is scary.

Paint has a funny way of reacting with things Here is some foam insulation I painted, but the effects were fantastic. Couldn't have achieved this look if I worked on for 100 years.
The paint started to melt the foam. luckily I was doing this outside, so if there were any fumes they disappated quickly.

I just got rid of the carpet. Bare concrete floor.

How many of you participate in contests ?

I do the NNL North in Mpls. every year and a couple of local shows here in Fargo. Also have some of my smaller diorama's over in the LHS window. One has been there now for 20+ years. still gets comments about it.
