Got a good wive and family, live in a great country. What more could I ask for.

This is a daily occurance here in MPLS.
Yep I gotta agree with you about Mpls. Driving truck through there is a real joy. People get on from the ramp, go all the way across3 lanes to the fast lane ten cut back of at the next exit. I would rather drive my rig in Chicago, than Mpls. That is why I retired from trucking.
Oh I will admit there is a lot of bad truck drivers out there also that shouldnt be behind the wheel.

Got up to find the Sunday paper was missing the comics section. Now this may not be a big deal to some, but I like to read them before digesting all of the news that is good or bad after. It brightens my day. Instead I got a double insert of the variety pages(crossword), and another load of store ad's, and flyers which I seldom look at.

Mike another excellant build you got going. the foil job really makes the paint job pop more. I love the color combo.

Got many good deals at the Hub, over the years.

In LA check out the Petersen Museum, the NHRA Museum, Barris Shop, and So-Cal Hot Rods.
One of the hotels in Vegas also has aneat car collection, can't remember which hotel though. Also I recommend visiting Fremont Street at night for the light show.
San Fran Haight Ashbury area. ( Music history)

Well it didn't sell, so I put it on the shelf for further additions later. It needs lighting, and more details. Will get to it later though as got 6-10 other things to get done.

Just got home from the train show. managed to sell a good deal of stuff. Also scored these. The 2nd place was for Deadmans Curve dio, and the 3rd for the Monster racing Slot Track building. Funny thing was I didn't enter the slot track but put it out for display only.

Also bought a load of new stuff, but have to get pics of it all later. Right now I have to tend to sore feet. -
Found this one today, and the ideas started flowing right away.
Just have to cover the motor, change the wheels, and add some ramps.
-
Well it is done, as far as I am concerned. Maybe the addition of lights yet if I don't sell it. here are the final detail pics.

That's a very creative idea. You may want to put somthing inside to make the cards sit up a little higher so that they're more accessible.
I think a lot of people would be hesitant to reach down in there to grab a card for fear of damaging something.
Point well taken thank you for that great idea. I will do that.

I have a upcoming show this weekend, and decided I needed something to hold my business cards. I could have bought a set pre-made, but decided to publicize my building skills with a homemade job. Here is the initial layout of it, as it is currently in the paint booth.
]
The base was painted gray, and will get some washes to simulate road wear. I painted the building in Khaki, and will add a trim color to it. I will also add a vehicle or two like it shows, along with some pedestrians.
Also the base will get a felt bottom to prevent scratches.

This is why I only buy locally, or with a board member. I gave up on e-bay a few years ago. I offered the guy cash, and he blocked my from bidding.

I drove various cars in the 70's starting with a 63 Ford Galaxie. It sat low, not jacked up. Next up was a 68 Ford. this I had the rear up and front down with big, and littles. Then I got me my meanest ride yet a 64 Olds 442. This mother would scream Again this one sat low, but was fast. Then marriage hit, and I was back in a 59 Ford. What can I say, had to get rid of the toys. When my son was born I had a 66 Mustang all jacked up though. Traded it for another 68 Galaxie 500, that I jacked also.
A friend of mine had a 69 Camaro all jacked up, and was always geting hassled by the cops because of it. Then there was the wide assortment on the strip on weeekends. One night a guy showed up with a Anglia, full blown gasser. We had everything from hot rods, to new muscle cars to daddy's car cruzin back then.
