  4. so here is some update photos of my current project. i got the cab done, the tank done, and the bag/storage boxes done. the white cross thing is the auger system it needs cut down to size and finished and painted, its more of a planning and mesuring stage right now,

its a hydrolic controled system used to unload the bulk feed into over head bins and reaches really high into the air, mine doesnt move.

so far the drop axle is just resting on the drive shaft to get the look and hight i want. im slowly scratchbuilding the frame for the lift axle.

also on this kit i made the choice to go back and use one of my first trucks i built for parts gond i felt so dirty killing it for the good of something else, but i was never totally happy with it so it didnt hurt so much, but my wife did give me one hell of a hard time over it !

    enjoy the photos below

some of the items left are blower system and blower tube storage and lettering and lotos of small details, i only spend about 8 hours a week on this thing

  5. If you look at my picks I did of a hopper ( grain kind) I had a tarp made out of a really thin cloth I found at a local fabric shop. I had the old lady sew it on ends to inclose two small round rods to make ends of tarp and mine now rolls and closes. I electric taped mine to trailer on one end. Because glue tends to bleed thru. I always keep mind in the open position

  6. im sure maybe someone did this before, but the serch didnt turn up what i wanted. but id love to see some photos of peoples work benches, maybe ways the store paints. did you build a custom paint shelf or a cool way to make lighting for it or is it just the coffee table while watching cartoons ?

just wanna see what some people got going on

  7. in my post about the w900l some had said that they used the 1:24 scale Italeri "american cargo" trailer with a reefer unit for his model. but i asked about the trailer with the steer on the side. and i was wondering if anyone could tell me the name and make model number on this one so im able to find it!

also any advice on the two trailers ? some one said the boogies need changed to a modern dollies? advice on where to find said dollies once i wanna make change ?

    thanks so much for info.

aslo in the trailers questions i wanna get some info on a good looking modern dump bucket, and also anyone ever make or see a casting to do a mac'amizer semi circle dump?

  8. Gary,

This is the sleeper your talking about. It's the Kenworth 72" Aerodyne flat top, it dose not exist in kit form. You would have to take the 60" Aerodyne sleeper out of the AMT Kenworth T600 kit and cut it down, lengthen it to a 72" and modifiy the top of the truck cab to build one. Hope this helps you some.

this is the truck, yeah looks like from the post ( and thanks everyone for replys) it looks like im buying a t-600 and cutting and filling and sanding a roof to make the bunk i need. thanks everyone once again

so looks like a shopping list of a revel of germany kw a resein kit from p and p and a t-600

ohh and dont for get my trailer

btw on the trailer you said boggie and wheels need changed? where do i go to order or what do i need todo to make said change ?!

  9. You might want to look at the AMT Kenworth T600. It has the sleeper cab you want. Maybe even the cab for that matter.

no thats not it, im lookin for the mid roof one looks like a flat top but its called a aero top if i remember ! and it has the big black windows at about the same hight of the cab windows !?

    thanks for the try though

  10. as people who do this as a hobbie and i love doing it but alot of fellow truckers want a 1/25 scale model of the trucks they drive. and well one guy offered me 800 to do a kw900l with the 70inch bunk and a refer trailer. and well i was taken back by it! but did see dollar signs, but i feel guilty, but yet he is paying for a service so its all good right ??

anyone ever make models on the side for a fee and if so how did you base your prices ? lol i'm sos humbled by someone loving my pete and hopper bottom trailer to ask me to build them something for a fee
