Welcome!!!...Nice job on a stock build, I like your engine detail. The paint is awesome also! I have this one on my shelf unbuilt and now that I see yours I am tempted to start another project. Thanks or sharing.
  2. Now that I see where you are going I love it even more!
  3. I think it looks fantastic and very traditional hot rod!
  4. Pretty and nice and nice and pretty, I like! Is that engine box stock, it looks like a monster?
  5. The last time I saw a new Malibu it didn't look like one to me. Your's might be the ticket for us older guys, I like it so far. I think the new Camaros look a little large in size compared to the '69 which is perfect for the Chevelle Concept. Keep it going!
  6. With enough time and money anything can be restored! Two more great projects Manny.
  7. You cn always plug the hole in the engine block, an old trick I know.
  8. Nice job on diecast models! In some ways I think they are a lot more of a challenge and don't get enough respect. Yours should make a lot of styrene addicts take a look at them more. Nice pictures!
  9. You make a lot better use of your trucks in the UK then we do here in the States! That load is amazing! Nice job and welcome to the Forum.
  10. I love Mopars when someone else builds them. I never did like them back in the day and never have built a model of one. There must be a lot of pride in owning one because of the clean look and attention to detail I always see, yours are no exception, both great builds. Maybe some day I will and have to admit I might be a little intimadated. I always think of the Dodge Boys and their clean white pants. LOL
  11. It looks good! Pickup trucks are always fun because you can have a diorama going in the bed.
  12. Nice work from a 13 year old! A lot of the shows I have attended have NASCAR models for $5 and even cheaper near the end of the show. Seems a lot of builders don't want to build the old ones any more and just want to clear out their collections. Maybe you could get an adult to take you to a near by show if you keep your eye on the schedule. The local hobby store is a good place to start. Sounds like you are already half way there. Good luck and don't get discouraged.
  13. I've never seen this done with the headlights, very interesting! I like all the other mods and the color is fitting. Any plans for graphics or pinstripes? I'll keep watching, got to love the old Merc's.
  14. Now you made my day, all the eye candy, what a great show! I liked all the close up details in your photos. Some of my favs were all the old Fords, the rough looking '36, the '49 with the skull shifter, Roth's flea circus and of coarse all the shiny. I'm suprised there was only one VW, I thought they were very popular in Colorado the last time we were there. Thanks for sharing your photo album, I enjoyed the free car show!
  15. Your weathering looks like the real thing. I'm a big fan of the Flathead, can't wait to see your progress on it.
  16. Stacey is one of us, what's goimg on here? I like his show and love this hot rod. I can't wait to get my hands on one and the first will be pretty much box stock and green. Lay off our brother hot rodder and model builder and his hair. ( by the way, I am BALD and I don't care.)
  17. " Pink slip Daddy", I'm glad they cleared that up because I thought it was "Big slip Daddy" all these years and talking about slicks or a clutch. LOL I just wish you were useing the "Flathead Mill". It's going to be nice anyway, can't wait to see more.
  18. Very nice! Dig your eyeball shifter. I would love to get a Christmas card like this!
  19. It had to be done! If there is a model car hall of fame he belongs in it! Too cool!
  20. Beautiful! Nice paint work and I'll have to remember the great tip on the window glass. I also love the battery and rear shocks. That is a nice looking pickup!
  21. It still looks good today. I like a lot of the old box art also. So how long ago were you a kid? I'm still a kid at 61. LOL... Ok, now I see it's a '90s repop looking back, still nice and I would have loved to build something this nice when I really was a kid. The character helps to tell the age of the kit. LOL
  22. I'm with Eyegore on this one.
  23. That's a great start Mike, that yellow really pops and photographs excellent! Stick around here and learn all the little details. You are officially on your way with a great start and welcome.
  24. Nice diorama! My first thought, "Is that engine going to go high enough to clear?" then, "Oh I see, all they have to do is let the car down off the jacks, clever!" Now I'm wondering, how do you manage to keep a diorama intact or two years? Mine usually end up getting taken apart to make room (and never get finished). LOL
