  1. I am so used to working, in bigger scales but the offset of smaller scale is always a challenge.
  2. Thank you. Yeah. I knew that. Just sounded more intriguing saying, 1:87.
  3. Thank you David for the tips. Glad you liked the build.
  4. Thank you Tony. I still need a new camera phone, though.
  5. I have been working on the second SBAT model, TGB 40 from 'Swedish Model Works'. Yes, its a 1:87 scale, too darn small for my taste, yet interesting. This is the 3-axle brother to the TGB 30 from the same company, I did awhile back. I wanted to do something that will make the TGB 40 feel at home. Mud and more mud, was the theme of this little vignette. So I wanted to do it some justice. My apologies for my camera. I need to buy a new phone, although, reluctant, but my camera is not as effective as it was in the beginning. So please bear with me. I've taken both outdoors and indoors photos. Thanks for looking.
  6. Thanks. Much appreciated.
  7. Thanks Vincent. I and others have contemplated the idea many times. But as you mentioned, the size is a killer, if you do not have the space to fit a 1:24 scale version. A nice thought though.
  8. Thank you kindly.
  9. Thank you David.
  10. Updated this diorama just before the client picked it up. I added lights and and some other minor details(unfortunately you cannot see in the photos). Here are some photos of the lighting effect and an interior photo to extend to give the illusion that the interior of the hall(diorama) extends beyond.
  11. My thanks Carl.
  12. Thank you.
  13. Even after all this, I still needed the urge to make some changes. I decided to cover the rest of the concrete facade(second building to the right) in ribbed sidings. I think it will give it a more industrial look as well as fit in with the first building to the left.
  14. I totally get it. Appreciate your detail analysis and your overall outlook on the diorama as a whole. Thank you kindly. My appreciated.
  15. My humble appreciation. Thank you.
  16. Thank you. Thank you David. Yes. Satisfaction guaranteed. Most definitely. Glad you approve. My thanks. :)
  17. I was giving the task of building a industrial truck dock/bay diorama for a customer, and this is what I put together. The buildings were made from xps pick and blue foam. The doors were made from styrene. The HVACs and lighting fixtures were 3D modeled by a friend using photos of real flood lights I found on the internet. The conduits were scratch built. The dimensions are 100 x 60cm. I have painting of the dock numbers and attaching of the batteries to the different light fixtures. --------------
  18. Too kind of you to write such uplifting words. Thank you for that.
  19. Oh yeah!! Although, we did live very near the Atlanta at that time, he kept it vert prestined.
  20. Well done. My dad had a blue one during the 80's.
  21. My thanks a appreciation Steve. Glad you consider my work worthy. :)
  22. Hi Dave. Thank you for your response. Time done on this isn't so bad. Maybe a total of 30-40 hrs, give or take. I rarely time my builds, so this is just a rough guess. Due to the amount of detail I can understand why folks think it would take me a long time. But I do things in way that is quick and straight forward without getting to iver complicated. I am not a fan of long drawn out processes. I always like to get started on something new. So I tend to get things done quicker. HeHe!!!! Good one. Thank you kindly for your uplifting words.
  23. HeHe!!!! Yep! Lots of details. Glad you approve. Thanks. HaHa!!! Thank you kindly.
  24. Much appreciated. Many thanks. Glad you think so. Thank you kindly. Thank you very much.
