Looking great so far. I weathered mine to hid most of the lack of detail, especially the front grill. Wish we had more access to PE and decals in the UK as this kit really lacks it. Also the tracks has some of the mouldings missing so not all of them clicked in.

Looking great so far. I am exactly the same. This kit has been on my want list for ages but I've been putting off even buying it for fear of messing up. Looking forward to following this.

Thanks for all the nice words! It's final resting place is on the top of the wardrobe as my wife wanted it out the kitchen!!

This has been a labour of love over a number of years. I built the rig about 10 years ago and just displayed this on the bookcase. I purchased the trailer with the idea of putting some heavy payloads on the back but never found the right vehicle in the right scale and then two kids happened. It's been in a box for years but since lockdown I've picked the kits back up again. I discovered that AMT had re-released the bulldozer in 1/24 scale and knew it had a place to go. This is my first real attempt at weathering and I'm pretty happy with the results. Also added on a Ford F250 as a back load. I just wish I had a better camera as I could only take these in the garden so have put a few effects the make them look a little more realistic.

Thanks yeah. I did alot of research on this vehicle and there was a lot of bent grills rather than shattered so I presumed in 96 they used more alloy than plastic.

Yep haha. I realised that and wished I'd used a needle!!

Found this Ford buried head first in a local swamp. Seems to have some history with a few bullet holes and possible injuries to passengers but none were seen in the vicinity. This is actually my first attempt at weathering and I'm reasonably happy with how it's turned out. Hoping it will fit on the back of my Kenworth.

Not an easy answer. Positive goes to starter motor, alternator & fuse box. Negative is attached to the car frame.

The last time the Bus came out it was only running licensed passes and wasn't registered to a particular class. They changed the classes in the National VW club to Sportsman & Pro and it is mainly bracket racing I believe. There is another club called the Outlaw Flat Four who Wayne does alot of work on members cars. This is more heads up with no limits so it may be more possible he would enter this. I haven't heard of it running since the first unveiling so not sure what the plans are. I think he had some transmission issues. He's very busy working on other peoples cars as he runs his own garage so maybe hasn't been able to work on it further.

This is just ludicrously good. I can't believe you've even got cable ties for the wires. Do you ever reveal your secrets?

Thanks Basher. I',m finally glad it's finished so I can get on with something else although I have gone back to another kit I put away over 10 years ago in the shape of a foot long Titantic.
