  1. G'day Rob, good to see you over here too! Long live the Van!!!
  2. Very cool truck. Sits nice n'low, great weathering, I like the busted floorboards.
  3. Cool Pickup! I like the Chevy cab on the Ford fenders, mixing up the companies, that's cool. Also like that you didn't chop the roof. Usually I see this sort of thing with roof chops but it's good to see yours without one.
  4. Thanks again for the warm welcomes guys Glad you like the picture quality Patrick (thanks), I try to take good photo's with my old trusty Fujifilm. It's not the best camera but it does the job. G'day Chris! It's good to see a familiar face!
  5. That's awesome, I really like the grille.
  6. Very nice body mods, looks so natural.
  7. Hi,new member here but I have been following your work for sometime now. This is looking really hot and your models are a fantastic display of talent. Glad to finally be commenting on your work.
  8. Wow guys, thank you so much, I've literly got a smile from ear to ear. I use Tamyia rattle cans on almost all my builds. The two '32s go together, the Sedan is modified with a roof chop and the Hi-boy is box stock. Well it was untill I changed the wheels. Colour isn't actually matt grey, it's polished primer. My daugter requested a pink and purple car . I didn't think it would turn out as sweet as it did but I'm very happy with my "pink" car. The base coat is Silver Leaf and along the bottom, I faded in some metallic light blue. That's the base coat, then I hit the whole thing with translucent pink...... and plenty of clear. The Charger is another fade. Candy lime green with a red to orange fade on the nose. The white strip is also painted but the black flicks are portions of the kits decals. The Skyline has a silver fade line sepperating the black/blue. This was a mission to acheive with spray cans! The SuperBee, yet again, another fade. Here's another one for ya, MRSuperbee70. BadNews, well, it's a bad kit but I like mine in black with flames from the 66 El Camino. Thanks again guys!

Thanks very much for the friendly welcome guys! The Surf Truck had to have a beach photo shoot. I tried to get the truck and waves in focus by changing the aperture setting on my camera. The surf boards are made from a thin dvd cover, they're also made to scale. The rack in the bed has working rollers and the strut arms work as well. The theme for this pickup is imagine this dude is a custom surfboard designer who personally delievers his boards up and down the coast, always looking for that perfect wave. The Merc recieved a 4mm chop just above the belt line and the rear pillars also got chopped. To change the ride height, I simply drilled an off centered hole in the wheel backing (next to the original axle hole). So if I roll the Merc forward, the height increases. Colour is a base coat of gun metal grey followed by clear blue, clear red, clear pearl. The base for the Merc is a bit of ply with a mirror on top, wrapped in mahogeny veener. The lights and batteries are from a keychain flashlight. The Tank was built as a part of a 4x4 group build. It's my backyard version of a Monster car crusher. The hardest thing was making the three different scales look like one scale. Thanks again!
  10. The interior looks sweet and the smoke effect is really cool. I'm gonna try out...maybe on an old bike.
  11. Wow! So creative, I love the interior. Nice work man.
  12. This one has it all! Super clean work with all the scratchbuilding, smooth looking paint too.

G'day everyone, My name is Joe and I'd like to introduce myself with some of my builds. I'm a member of another forum and thought I should become apart of this forum since I'm always over here checking out the builds. I used to build models when I was a kid then gave it up, about 3 years ago I got back into it and haven't looked back since. This '64 Chevy "Surf Truck" was my first adult build; This '49 Merc - "The Illuminator" is my baby. Pie-chop, roof chop and working lights. One of the arials is the on/off switch. This '57 Tank is a 1:72 scale tank chassis and a 1:32 Zingers 57 Chevy body with a 1:25 engine. These are my favorite three builds, I'll put some other up in a new post.
