  1. Thanks for all of the nice comments.

I agree with you Curtis, there seems to be to much room in the fenders for those tires. Actually they were like that right from the factory.

I think the front end could have been lowered some to make it look better.

  2. nice , clean build i have the same kit. the decals are ruined though lol. can u take a side pic?

I have a few of these kits and the decals are ruined in 2 of them. Even this one they weren't in great shape as you can see with this picture.

  3. Nothing special about this build. Right out of the box with the exception of ignition wires added. The wires are a little to thick. It really is a good kit to build with no real issues. The final fit of the body to the chassis need a few minor adjustments but that was really about it.

  4. You did a fantastic job on the "Devils Daughter" Tony.

Your attention to small details really make it stand out. Even the BMF around the rear window has the proper joint in the middle where the chrome comes together.

    Very Nice!!

  5. I absolutely second Matt on the DBS kit! I've built 1 & have another 2 in the stash. Worth every cent too. Just be aware there are 2 versions of this kit available... The original release, which comes with standard PE set & could be had for under $50US. & there's the Re-release, which comes with the Aber up-market & may I say, brilliant PE set. This kit should be no more than $70-75US.... But we'll worth it for the disc brakes/calipers alone! My advice... If you like/love Astons... You MUST get this kit.

    Cheers Cliff

Now I have an itch to scratch! I must have this kit. :)

I can't tell if the engine is complete Matt. What a beautiful job you have done building this kit.

    Thanks

    Rob

  6. Looks like you are off to a really good start Mason. Take your time and enjoy each part of the build. I tend to look at each sub-assembly as a little model in itself. For example the engine is a model in itself. IMO Revell make some great kits and it is best to learn and make mistakes with them. Wait until you are comfortable with the basic building techniques before you start a Tamiya kit. They are very nice but also expensive.

I would suggest you wash down the body of the car very well to remove mold release oils and prime it before shooting it with the Tamiya Italian red.
