Glenn, What you say about shipping internationally is all well and good for the most part, but then human nature enters the picture. I'd really like to offer International Sales, but I've tried it in the past with poor results. The fact of the matter is that most buyers are not nearly so understanding as you seem to be as regards the advisability of Priority Shipping. Most, being aware of the existence of First Class International, and its significantly lower cost, can not understand why it isn't available. Upon attempting to explain in the listing, it is inevitable that people write decrying the very possibility that they should ever do anything such as not admitting to receiving a parcel - and most wouldn't. It's just those couple who would. Further, those that do want the item enough to pay the higher shipping cost are likely (about 50% in my previous experience) to leave lower feedback star ratings stating the cost of shipping was 'too high.' I do readily agree to those who contact me and want a friend with a U.S. address to make a purchase and have it shipped to a location within this country. As I said, I would really like to make it available, but as long as people remain people - in any country - it's just not worth the hassle and the couple extra bucks it would bring. Congratulations on getting your kit.

Don't think there was ever any real doubt that would occur; in fact, I imagine several members here have sent a 'Question to Seller' asking his reasoning behind the listing, and/or advising of this thread. His item has had over 500 views since this thread started - impressive since that is several hundred more than any of his other 11 'pro built' listings (titles of which have not been changed yet). Yes, interesting . . .

Actually, I do - quite frequently. I buy and sell regularly on eBay. It allows me to get many items I want at a reasonable price and a means of moving those I'm not so fond of. In many instances, I buy lots of built or 'junkyard' models and parts for a few specific items. When reselling unneeded builts or parts they're always described acurately, including faults. Many have been listed as out-and-out glue and paint bombs, poorly built, with missing or broken parts. Oddly, those are sometimes older models or specialty parts and occasionally bring more than the better built ones. While I have issues with several listings that are less than 100% honest or accurate, and dislike many of eBay's policies, it remains an excellent venue for my needs - not only do I get many of the kits and builts I want, but they have now become 'in the black.' I've made more on eBay than spent, so my entire collection is - at the moment - free. I am, by the way, familiar with the Seller referred to here - he has contacted me in the past in reference to lots I've listed with offers to purchase; however, I start my items quite resonably (in my opinion) and he typically offers about 40% of start, which is his prerogative. We have not done any business. Interesting thread.

I don't seem to have any luck at all finding kits or builts at yard sales or flea markets. End up getting most of my built and parts stuff from lots and parts on eBay - oddly, most of them say they came from a garage sale or flea market. Go figure.
