  1. I've been modeling off and on since I was fourteen. I haven't built a new in a year or so, and I just got back into doing it again. Here's a few pics of what I've been working on. It's an amt 49 kit, and so far it's been a little problematic. When I first started fitting some pieces together, I had orginally planned to use the tooth grill from a donated 49 merc kit. Well, after trying it on, I changed my mind. I found a pic of a 49 ford online that I'm basing this on. So far, I haven't done a whole lot to it. I shaved all the trim off, opened the doors and truck, and that's just about it so far. The wheels are from the merc kit, but I'm going to use different caps.
  2. Ok. thanks a lot. That's cool. I've never been there though.
  3. Could anyone tell me how thick of styrene sheets should I use? I plan on using some clear and white, but I'm not to sure about the exact thickness. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Thank you. What kind of glue is that?
  5. Has anyone used the evergreen clear plastic sheet? Since the project I currently am planning will likely require resizing the rear window a little bit anyway. I just would like some one Else's opinion who is more knowledgeable about using it. Thanks again for the advice offered.
  6. I just joined here, but I'm from Anderson.
  7. Thanks for the advice. I might just go ahead and buy a new kit. A friend of mine gave me the kit, a revell '49 merc. It was in pretty rough shape when I got it, but I figured some of the part might be salvageable at the very least.
  8. Hello everyone. I'm new to the forums, and I had a question I needed some advice for. Is there any way to remove dried glue from clear plastic? To be a little more specific, it's more of a smudge.
