  1. Yeah, that's probably the best option. Thanks John and Snake.
  2. I was thinking of a tubbed type chassis, like a pro street or pro stock.
  3. Hey guys, I was starting a drag version of the 1967 Shelby by amt. Could someone recommend a chassis that would work well with this kit?
  4. Hmm, a viper engine in a classic British sports car? It's very different, in a good way. Hope to see more of this one. Good luck.
  5. Thanks fellas. Appreciate the kind comments.
  6. Nicely done.
  7. Thanks John. I had some good times putting it together. It went togther nicely for an AMT kit.
  8. Well, where to begin with this one. I started this kit in September, thinking this would be a rather easy build. But that's not how it worked out. I started with an AMT 1957 chevy, and had a 1966 Nova pro-street that I used as a donor car. I had to modify a few things to get it work right. The front wheels are from the AMT 56 ford. This one is a bit of a frankenstein's monster, as most components come from other kits.I also used BMF on this. Not the first time I've done it. I think I'm getting better at it. The interior has been modified quite a bit. I used the Nova's interior as a starting point. I made it a point to use the 57's dashboard. I had to do some trimming to get it to fit right. Next, I scratch built a roll bar, using some spare sprue pieces and some styrene tube. The seats come from a late eighties corvette, as I really didn't like the seats the nova came with. I added a shifter I left over from my Superbee. The steering wheel is from the 56 ford. I modified it to fit. One more pic for now. I'll try to post some more soon.
  9. Hey thank you. I'm not exactly a Mopar guy, but it's good to try new things. By the way, that Vega you have is wicked looking.
  10. Here's a few more pics
  11. Hello. It's been a long since I've posted here. I had long slump, but I've come back. Please forgive my mediocre pics. So, this is car that busted my slump. It's mostly box stock, with a few custom add ons. I added a homemade hemi scoop and a harness i scavenged from the parts box. The exterior color is Krylon Iris with a few coats of MM Wet Look clear. Interior is black, with a purple harness and shifter knob. I made the engine wiring from a broken X-Box controller. Not a show winner, but it's my favorite so far, as broke a string of bad luck.
  12. This thing looks like it came from another planet! Probably my favorite model you've posted, second only to the 59 caddy you did.
  13. Wow, that's great you're doing this one. I'm fan of that movie, too. Can't wait to see it take shape.
  14. Looks good so far. I like the desoto grill.
  15. Hey, thanks for the help, guys. I really appreciate it.
  16. Does anyone know if there any companies that make these in resins? I'm mostly interested in towncars, myself. I always thought that would be an awesome lowrider kit.
  17. That's one deadly lookin' nomad. The engine detail is just the icing on the cake.
  18. I think it was worth having to invent a new swears for. Very cool color combination. Good job.
  19. I've been watching this one for a while. You've really nailed this beauty. I admire the craftmanship that went into this amazing build. Everything about is simply awesome. Outstanding job, Rommel.
  20. I hope to see more of this one. I always liked the 58 Impala's body style. I think you've added some unique touches so far.
  21. I like the skull shifter knob. The interior looks very nice so far.
  22. ok, I see. I wish you luck with that.
  23. I really like this build. I like those old buicks, so I can't wait to see more on this. If you don't mind me asking, what color is the interior going to be?
  24. Rusty and dusty, and very unique. I like it.
  25. So far it looks great. I like the color scheme, and the barbed wire decal is a nice touch as well.
