Well heres my kick at the oldsmobile can, 6" scale drop in the front, unsure hopw many in the rear, but its a signifigant drop. paint is rustoleum gloss black on the wheels/chassis and Mazda Redfire pearl effect for the body. Scratch built coil springs (1/16 inch tig rod wound around a 1/8th tungsten fits like a GLOVE in the kit spring pockets FYI..) hood has been relieve of its tim as well. pics the springs

Looks good! I did the drop on mine similar.. I raised the upper a arms 1/4 of an inch (6 scale inches) and moved the lowers to suit. I then cut off the spindles and re glued them straight up to correct the wonky camber

I'll build one more or less box stock, but not green (love the colour, love the car, hate the colour on the car.) And 2 or 3 kits for parts.

Could you even get a 6 in the Bel air? Only ever seen them with 8's. I'm happy it isn't the fuelie engine as that has been kitted before and is pretty rare. The single/ dual 4 bbl setup is a far better representation of the majority of these cars

hmm. thats a bummer. though a single snorkel style (for single 4bbl 283's) is only as far away as the 56 nomad or 55 bel air kits.
