I've got this kit, got it for $53 at a lhs here. Been playing with the wheels and what ifs. These rims are from an r/c car, cut down and made a lip for the rear, and yeah it would have to be cut they the subchassis and the seats to get these to even get to fit. Im planning on going at least this low with similar rims, a possible blower setup. The new hot rod magazine shows the one im building, except mine is going in the light green mustang color and stripes.

Just had fun with this one, a one week build but definitely wanna do another one. This one is, well I can't say box stock cuz its nodded pretty well, engine has been changed out from what was in the kit to the truck kit, cut the rear gearing mechanism off and replaced it to the opposite engine (fits perfectly), with this change, it give a more defined engine with real headers, and valve covers that can be detailed. the interior wasn't touched much other than tricky painting & custom mixed flocking to get the color of the car., added two nitrous tanks, plumbed in the hatch part of the car, removing the rear tire that was there. outside the car, just cleaned it up, added 23" Pegasus rims, with a custom cut lip to the rears, matched to the car itself. added a Ings Z-power wing, painted semi gloss black. Also did a trick with the front lights giving it a hid, added a piece of brass wire thru both lights, then using a blue gel pen added a drop or two, then topped off with 2 drops of CA glue and kicker.. Car is painted Black Gold Nova orange metallic base, Tangelo pearl, and topped with folk art clear. Got a few other ideas for this car but wanna throw it at another kit.

This is where its at to this point, alot of detailing inside, under the hood and thruout underneath.

Can't say its been done, at least to this extent.. started off by cutting the Escalade front end into a 99 chevy, then opened the hood with grille insert added to it. Opened the doors and hinged them suicide and also swings into the body unlike normal suicide doors. Bed is from a ford lightning, and a chevy ssr fenders. Lightning tailgate, handbuilt rollpan over to the fenders. Clear bed floor added Interior is all caddy, added the sub box and stretched it in the middle, added the amp on a rack behind it, sliding seats, tilt steering wheel, tvs in the doors, console and roof, square sub in the dash, glove box opens revealing a PS2, engine is a 409 from a 59 impala, wired, plumbed all 3 carbs, throttle spring, scratchbuilt pulleys, rearend will be IRS hand built out of parts in boxes, compressor for the air tank be an engine driven compressor ill be building for it.
