  1. My 1/20 scale ranger has been modified out of an s10. I added sheet styrene to the upper body lines to give the more ranger type styling. Just shaved the tails last weekend. Built the grille and hood. Added an explorer bumper.. s10 frame with backhalf built from parts trees that I didn't modify to get the look. Explorer v6 wired and ready to be plumbed..
  2. I'll jump in with my squarebody 1/20 ranger build.
  3. You could do one better by cutting the rim itself in half and use the rear part as the front lip. I do that quite often and the tire fits even after modifying it. Look good otherwise
  4. I've owned the xpr400, 300, cordless and bought the 4000 last year. Also have the wand and the workhorse drill press that works with everyone of the dremels! That works awesome for anyone that wants to drill holes w/o using a professional one. Also have the multimax, and possibly the new saw type version they just came out with. There's not one dremel I wouldn't not use. That's why I have 3 in my shop at all time in different workstations so when ya need one, its in hands reach.
  5. Not yet. I have a 1/22 scale s10 diecast I could probably cut down and redo to work. Another guy in my club was supposed to give it a try since I did his 1/20 version
  6. For the deadline grim, I knew it wouldn't make it to atlanta in one piece...ill still take it and show it for what it is..the decals are heading my way tomorrow so if I get em on the truck before the show is gonna be close.

  8. I haven't done too much with it, but have painted it, done interior in a tan color, waiting on my GPS, tv. & radio screens to get here for that to get done. Amp is wired in, brake lines on all 4 corner. I do have the lights in and the clear lenses are painted a clear blue for a wilder look (unpictured). got one more month to get it all buttoned up and finished.
  9. Id say the build im doing is more newer styled than the newest last one they produced. Caddy escalade front, 2 bed to make 1, (lightning;ssr)
  10. Oh no problems here at all, and completely agree on the skill of the builder in general, I never had done something as technical as that before up to that point, it was a step up in my building game..and learned a few new way to do things engine wise.
  11. 99% of mine is all hand built. The only thing that isn't seen is the original block under all the extras I added.
  12. Yeappers I make the 1/20 98+ s10 front end. Comes as a 4 or 6 piece kit.
  13. I've built a cummins dodge diesel for a dodge dually. Used a 50 chevy inline 6 engine, cut everything off of it, and began adding to it. The engine I finished is a steam turbo diesel that was blueprinted/designed...I refered to cummins website to get pics of it..they aren't hard to build if ya got the pictures in front of ya
  14. A friend from California sent me a 63 impala uptop to cast, I do some resin pieces, that was my first 2 part mold..and im hoping to pull a normal one out in the next few weeks as I've had a few guys hit me up needing these hard to find pieces.
  15. Hey stranger..this is slammd... brian..lol. truck is looking good jeremy.
  16. Makes ya wonder why they didn't make a 99 stepside kit? Either case, this is what should have been... was aiming for the newer style bed on the chevy/gmc but im happy with the results already. Im getting the body work done, the bed is smoothed down, ready for primer.
  17. I wanted something a tad different than what came stock and what id see as a daily driver. It was an overall fun build considering.
  18. At this point it don't matter, and ud be the only one that has said anything..so no worry.
  19. Do I really have to choose one? That's nearly all I build is trucks. Lowered, raised..no matter. If its got a tailgate, its on my bench. My fav is one I call bad mojo. Raised fenders is the biggest mod, and check out the truckin mags, my truck made the cover...lmao
  20. Did this one earlier in the year, not really expecting much from the kit even though I did manage to go as far as wiring up the 4 cyl engine before I completely changed it out with a 427 from the 65 galaxie kit, everything I could figure out to wire& plumb was and is. Only big modification is the new vette and clear area was added to clear the tunnel ram on the engine..plus it vines it a nice muscled look. Flocked interior, added a cassette in the dash from photoetch, paint is two tone diamond dust, atomic rust, with blazing black as the breaker. Wheels are from a vw bus diecast.
  21. The first color is intense blue pearl, tho that might get laid as my base...or become the color for the entire truck...not set in stone as to which color choice im goin with but it will be a blue shade. Ii gotta come across a rear window so I can add my license plate to it there.
  22. Thanks guys, new here but not at all to modeling. 15+ years of kitbashing experience. Not too much I haven't done to a truck kit. Also do some cars, depending on what it is.
