Really confused here
Austin T replied to Austin T's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I know they are cool,I want several to display with models at shows.I just don't know why they are comanding so much cash, I think he would sell them in large quanities if he had a BIN at 10-15 bucks for just one. Gary just search "store display" in the model kit section of toys and hobbies. -
Ok while searching the Bay there is a seller who sells mostly reproduction display cutouts for models, this is his description on each listing " PLEASE READ BEFOR BIDDING The rising cost and rarity of these displays are making it hard to collect. We at MTS have the best solution. These displays are 99 percent accurate as possible. They are cut and folded just like the originals. No assembly required .The photo of the built model is for reference only , If you are the winner bidder and you did not read the description you are still liable for the payment. You will not be disappointed. The model is not included YOU ARE GETTING A REPOP CARDBOARD DISPLAY SHIPPING: WILL NOT SHIP WORLDWIDE.US ONLY MODEL NOT INCLUDED The display is a high quality repop" What confuses me is these things are going for crazy money, like 50-100 bucks and they arn't even real. Why on earth are people going crazy over these things? It's like the guy is just printing money,he being totally honest and fair but why are they going for so much? Note:Please don't start raging on me about e-bay,no links were posted,I am just asking a question. Also please try and refrain from arguing with anyone, I would like for this to be a non-hostile thread.

How would I make these in scale for a junker build,I don't need the t-shirt to say anything but to make it look like it was thrown onto the car kinda wadded up and wrinkled. And if your wondering I have two bad foil spots on a junker that could easily be covered with these items.

That is amazing, easily my favorite AMT 53 ford I have ever seen. Now if you coud just do James Hetfeilds 1956 f150 to go with it.They would be the perfect combo. -
Dreaming of a model?
Austin T replied to jmpsebring's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The merge of these two threads might have looked good but now it's kinda akward.Going from fake box art to dreaming about being in a hobbyshop. Not trying to compain or anger anyone but It's kinda wierd..... -

I don't know if my entry got missed or if I did something wrong so here it is again. I will be entering with a Fujimi Porsche 911 Flatnose. When I aquired the kit the previous owner slashed off the roof, but I think the damage is easily repairible. Here are some pics of it ,one has the roof just placed on the body.I might have a story with mine if I can think of one.

I think the correct tern for this is a "Beater".Kinda reminds me of the junkers on GTA IV. -

AMAZING T-bird, can't remember his name but it looks like it based off of a real T-bird a kustomiser did a long time ago.If I remember correctly he died of cancer several years ago.

Did you take the Merc to the Southern NNL? I really want to say I saw it there.

Same problem I have.I have the most recent reissue of the orange hauler kit that would look amazing in the Daytona Hauler. If you do decide to widen it then post a tutorial on here please.

Well after much thought and consideration I have decided to use a Fujimi Porsche 911 Flatnose as my kit,now when I aquired the kit someone had removed the roof so I need to put that back on.Heres the kit.
