  1. Finally had some time to get some paint on it. Haven't done the body yet and still need to figure out exhaust. Also still need to get decals made.
  2. thanks. I only have the interior to do and then a few little things and then I can paint it and get it finished
  3. Also got the engine compartment figured out. Had to move a cross member on the chassis to fit the motor right. Also have drilled 84 holes and haven't even started the interior ones.
  4. Finished up the front wheels, with the staggered look. Then got the ride height where I wanted with a slight rake in the rear.
  5. thats what I'm kinda thinking. I Can't make up my mind. I probably won't know until its the last piece to go on.
  6. Got a few more hours into this. Built a few things. New door panels to go with the custom interior, using '69 Torino seats (same as 69/70 mustangs) modified the frame to lower it, and the bed floor. Then added some "structure" piece to the bed that'll be throughout the build. Also built the '69 Torino style hood. Started working on making the square exhaust tips and then got the thought of doing round exhaust tips. Now I can't decide what I like more.
  7. I knew I wanted to lower it and use bigger wheels. Had to have a big V8 motor and IFS instead of the twin I beams. Went to my parts box and found a 428 I had from the Revell Thunderbolt with the headers, found some bigger wheels and tires that I planed to cut the wheel piece out, found a bomb from something, and a set of 69 mustang seats, and then the hood from a 78 f150. Then got to work. Still have the center of the bed to modify for the chassis mods. Then got to work making the bomb fit the bed, it'll be the air tank for the air ride suspension.
  8. Saw how well everyone's moebius f100s are coming so I decided to join the band wagon. Started with a drawing I did of a 69 F100.

  10. ive been working on this slowly off and on as im doing smaller projects. i been trying to decide on some kind of body kit for this. so ive cut the front bumper off and lowered it down, then added a rear air diffuser, and working on side skirts. but may have to some how lower the ride height more. the bumpers and side skirts are looking to tall now. ill post more pictures once i finally get a chance.
  11. i came across this. looks like theres the cawl hood, 6 point roll cage, rear drag spoiler, drag raging seats, different rims, there was also something about dot drag slicks, gt40 intake, short tube headers, straight pipes, seat belts?, diff cover, then with the stock k-member theres an aftermarket style k-member, then the stock rear axle or maybe its been narrowed?. there was word of it being a 2 in 1, so you can decide to build it stock or drag version. but ether way ill be buying a couple even if the roof issue isnt fixed.
  12. Ira, the spark plugs on them 4.6 ford are in the indentations in the tops of the covers. then they have a coil with a tube like the new efi hemis have. ford calls it a "coil on plug" setup. heres a link, http://www.amazon.com/FORD-COMPLETE-IGNITION-COILS-DG508/dp/B0031ZDU62 looking good btw. being a ford guy i like anything thats powered by ford.
  13. not enough detail to be real. its a bigger scale model
  14. the back glass is a decal from the revell f250, the newer one that has the brown and white one on the box if i remember right. i've not done decals in some years so it was kind of a pain but i just kinda outlined it and then put in right on the "glass"
  15. finally had time to paint my 78 ford. i'm really liking the colors. here it is. then i can try to finish up the hauler and get it painted here it is with the rims and tires, looks really good
  16. as i'm working on other stuff i'm trying to think of how to paint this. i know i want blue and a dark sliver but cant decide how to do it. heres what i'm thinking
  17. thanks for the comment. i've had to do some cutting to make the wheel work with out sticking to far out of the fenders. i've done more work on it. got the engine pieces done so now it is a 5.0 coyote in it. and then once i finished that i got working on the trunk. i've opened it up and started the seal and trunk area. it will have a small sound system in it. i wanted to add a little more detail to the trunk it self so i tried replicating the black out panels you can get. here it is
  18. i'm using the 5.4 but i'm making new valve covers, new intake and intake tube and intake cover. it will look "like" the new coyote 5.0 mill. heres the start to the engine cover. had to cut the TB out off the Shelby system and will make it fit the new intake. and while the glue for the cover was drying i made a new shock tower brace that i still need to finish
  19. i finally picked up the 1/12 Shelby. i was just going do the Shelby as a Shelby but figured theres already to many on here and i like being different so i'm making a mild custom 5.0 Mustang. the rims are from the 1/8 t-bucket and they fit perfect in the Shelby tires and look awesome on the car. i just need to figure out how to do the mount backings. then i deleted the snake in the grill and found some light buckets the fit in the grill prefect then made the pony emblem for the grill and also made the rear gas cap emblem had to shave the diff housing to lower it to where i want it. then worked on the rear spoiler, just didnt look like it fit that great on the sides so i cut it down the middle and will be filling the gap to make it fit like it should
  20. thanks. ive seen a couple 78-79s lowered and they do look pretty good. not everyone likes them lowered. I hope by the time i'm done with these someone will release a new raptor so i can turn it into a bronco.
  21. it started out as an 80-86 and i grafted the 92-96 front end and rear fenders on. did the same with the 87-91. one is 1:24 and the other is 1:25. i don't remember which is which, i think the 87-91 is 1:24.
  22. I'm a huge bronco fan. I've owned 3 broncos. and our family has had at least ten over the years. so i decided id make one of each body model. heres the 4 of them together heres the 78-79. ive lowered it, has a huge sound system, 4 bucket mustang seats and lots of custom stuff, not sure what engine yet the 80-86 im making a custom rock crawler out of. everything is custom, 90% scratch built. 5.4 supercharged shelby motor. the 87-91 i'm making a copy of my 1:1 89' 4 inch lift, 35s, 302, same rims, custom bumpers, i'm going make it as close as i can. the 92-96 i'm making a big lifted, huge wheels, big horsepower (460 with custom intake), huge custom bumpers. I'll post more photos once i get farther along with them.
