  1. Sorta like a life preserver on a yacht...
  2. I have to wonder why the upper radiator hose runs to the firewall...
  3. Roy... I have to assume that last year was an anomaly. The Sox are way better than a 99 loss season. I don't expect that to happen again this year.
  4. Same prez who once said he's visited all 57 states... Oops... we better watch it. No politics allowed here..
  5. I see this one with steelies and baby moons...
  6. I agree that Vietnam vets were treated very poorly back in the day. I know they were reviled, they were marginalized and looked down on back in the '70s, when the anti-war movement was at its peak. And I agree that of all US vets, they got the short end of the stick as far as respect goes. But given that, I still can't believe that a guy as media-savvy as I am has never heard of Vietnam Veteran's Day until now, regardless of how deserving it may be. You'd think I would have bumped into it somehow, somewhere by now... even if by accident.
  7. Did someone forget the body?
  8. Ok, here's the other side of the coin... and I mean no disrespect to Vietnam vets, just putting it out there for debate... We already have Veteran's Day. It honors all veterans of all wars. The revolution... the civil war... the war of 1812... the Spanish-American war... World War I... World War II... Korea... Iraq...Afghanistan... you get the point. Why do we now have a separate "veteran's day" for one specific war? Again... no disrespect meant. Just wondering...
  9. I find it almost impossible to believe, with the saturation of news coverage we get 24/7, that this wasn't reported. By someone. Or maybe it was, and I completely missed it. However, I'd bet that I'm not alone. I'd bet the vast majority of people had no idea that a Vietnam Veteran's Day existed.
  10. Yeah, I realize now that it exists. My question is how it escaped me completely. I follow the major news outlets... MSNBC, Fox, CNN, etc. Plus my two local papers.
  11. But like I said, I follow current events closely. Very closely. Closer than 99.99% of Americans. I read two daily papers, scan several news websites every day, watch the talking heads on cable, etc... yet I have never heard of "Vietnam Veteran's Day."
  12. Forget that! Monday is opening day for the Sox! All I can say is it better not be snowing!!!
  13. Next step... build a model of it!
  14. BTW... this whole model (minus the top) could almost fit into the gas tank of your Rolls. It's that small!
  15. Believe me... it all works out in the end. Lots of moving parts–the RR braking system is very complex... sometimes you wish you had three hands, at least... but it all comes together eventually.
  16. I think the "contact patch" was about the size of a quarter!
  17. Looking good, man!
  18. Amen! You don't have to shovel rain!
  19. Yeah, the old Impala is still in deep sleep...
  20. No hockey... I found it on ebay for $15. A good deal. I've heard very positive reviews, so I figure it's money well spent. And the sound quality is supposedly spectacular, so I can't wait to fire up the big screen and the Dolby surround sound with subwoofer...
  21. Hmmm... why have I never heard of it until now? I'm a pretty news-savvy guy. I can't believe this has been in effect for two years and I've never heard of it.
  22. Mine is also 24x36. They come in all sizes... see my link above.
  23. This is the one I bought: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/420036/Realspace-Clamp-On-Magnifier-Task-Lamp/
  24. That's a good looking barge!
  25. I agree with Chilly. Fantastic work, great attention to detail. That's just some beautiful modeling!
