I don't appreciate being called out for something that I didn't do. And when it happens I make mention of it. Simple as that. Semantics have nothing to do with it.

In your original post you said that they were "finished models" that weren't quite finished yet. I didn't "nitpick" anything. I didn't say anything "not nice." All I did was ask you a simple question: Are they finished... or not? Your response: you went off on me for no reason at all (see above quote). Then you edited your initial post and reworded it to make me look like I was "picking" on you. Yeah, like you say... some people.

What you're describing is a mod to an automatic that actually had some benefit. This "three headed monster" Hurst Lightning thing is pure nonsense. No real function, just "flash"... and a huge dose of silly.

An automatic with three shift levers? It's hilarious! Not to mention completely stupid... I had a buddy back then who thought of himself as a real hot rodder... but he couldn't work a stick! His car had an automatic, and every time he would come to a stop he'd put it in neutral, then when starting off he'd "shift" through the gears from "L" to "D"... I never had the heart to tell him that he was being a complete idiot!

I like the idea of making your own. Probably a whole lot cheaper, too.

There's nothing wrong with being a member here and not posting your work. We have plenty of members who never post their own work, for whatever reason. That's ok... you can participate here in any way you like. There's no rule here that says you have to post pictures of your work, but in my opinion, if someone does decide to post their work, it's only fair for the rest of the members to be able to talk about it. Like I said before... if any member doesn't want their work commented on, that's fine... simply don't post your work. But if a member does post pictures, commentary from others is to be expercted, not discouraged!

I know. It's getting harder and harder to find photos that'll fool you guys... and that I haven't used already.

A picture alone isn't a review. If it was, we could just show you photos of the kit parts in the magazine's "Kit Reviews" column and save Larry Greenberg a lot of time!

My opinion is that if you post your work here, any comments, positive and negative, are part of the deal. It's up to each individual as to what they want to say (or not say)... but once you show the world what you did, the world has the right to comment. If you can't take criticism, don't post pictures of your work. As far as "critical" comments... there's a right way and a wrong way to criticize. Be smart about it.
