Well guys, I holding out little hope we will see the Torino again. I've tried through other social media to get in touch with the current holder of the car. He is active in other places but will not acknowledge requests about the Torino. Makes me sad that it was so close. Let's hope he will at least send it to me to finish as I requested no questions asked. ?

Thanks guys! Mike I'm using testors wet look clear. 4 coats. Wet sanded after 2nd and 4th coats and one week cure. Then polished. I'm not sure on the traction bars as mopars generally didn't need them due to factory setups involving staggered leafs and pinion snubbers. I will check it out though as I have bars here

Fred...looks like a great project underway here. I vote for the S&M Keystones and the big'n'little Goodyear RWL's....this is exactly how a bucks-up new 'cuda owner would have set up his car in "day two" form in the early 1970's.....and from my point of view, nothing looks better than an early 1970's Mopar B or E body with mags on Goodyear RWL Polyglas GT tires (F's or G's on the front, G's or H's on the back) which is of course very close to what the Round 2 AMT Goodyyear RWL parts pack tires represent. Cheers! TIM
well guys, I got home today and had some time. I foiled a bit more and thought about wheels some more. I took Tims advice and mocked this up. I kind of dig the look of the keystones with this colour combo. Thoughts?

Stunning. I love the Cordova brown. I have a few cans myself

Very nice. Now a trailer with the mustang on it... ?

Very nice

Paint is testors mm bronze

Thanks guys. The S&M reference is sox & Martin. The cuda comes with a beautiful set of big and little keystones. I will mock it up with the Tim and we will see how it looks?
-
Thanks. The interior is all painted, just the wood grain to do. I will post pics of the wheels I want to use. I'm so torn as I like stock muscle cars but I remember the black cuda Cruz did with keystones. It was awesome. I just hate keystones and cragars so this will be a group call. Help me out guys!?

Thanks!? Think it was a Smirnoff ice.

Working on another project. The duster is very close to done, the boss 9 is a pretty involved build so it very slow. In the meantime I figured I would crush out another hemi cuda since it's such a fun kit. My blue one was a low option car so this time I figured I would do an oddball the other way. I picked an odd colour combo and am happy so far. It will look pretty much like this real one. Only thing I might change is add the keystones from the S&M kit on big and little polyglas parts pack tires. Thoughts?
its crazy how different light changes the paint. To the eye it's pretty close to the 1:1 The camera lies lol

I would gladly finish it. My new career allows me a bit more build time.

Are there any updates on this project?
-
I have one. Much the same as that. It did not hold up well to storage. It warped so bad the roof broke and body spread open. Un salvageable. Im looking at it right now lol

How how are we making out on this? I would gladly take over and finish this up if needed. I have a fair amount of bench time now ?
-
This is going to be slick! Any idea on what you will use for the wood grain trim?
-
They aren't really on the street anymore anyway. The get permits and run on a closed road with safety people and light towers. It's just like a no prep event
-
With the steel wheels will we have the option of all the various dodge/ Plymouth dog dish caps?
-
Fastbacks never got any scallop trim in 65/66. Neither did mustang gt's. Having a d code 4 speed 64.5 coupe, a 65 c code fastback, a 66 a code 4 speed GT fastback and a 66 c code convertible in the stable helps when I'm building something. I can just go look. Lol.

Can't wait for this kit
-
Me too but it's an easy conversion from the kit I'm working with. I've got the decals for one here and the boss 302 from the Amt cougar eliminator is perfect for it. Maybe that's next...

Beautiful work as usual Jim!

I'm starting with the revell 69 Mach 1. I opened it up. I will make all the jambs etc like I did on my 70
