I definatly love this car

i got a good deal of stuff started tonight notheing to spectacular, scratch build radiator shroud and headlight pannel. i still have a bit of work to do on it but i just wasnt to motivated tonight lol also for the tenth time started building chakels for my learf rearend after a few trial and errors i think i got it. might be a little big for scale but i think it looks pretty good ill take more pics when its finnished.

then i cut the front frame rails off and am making my own heres where im at tonight i have all the trans lines ran and everything but positive wires i cut the rear wheel cylinders down to narrow the rear stance since it was way towide looks much much better now heres the mock up

i started doing sime wiring in the last week. such a pain in the ass lol heres the finnished trans cooler and fan some battery cable and more wiring pics, i have all the grounds done and still have positives to do

well i did a little more research and i desiced to change a few things, i broke off the raised body lines because the car i looked at was a monaco but the wrong year wagon. then i widend the center post a little bit i had to narrow the hood a little along with the rest of the front end pretty easy task glued the hood back together on the test fit i had to add a small strip to the side to make the hood a touch wider in the front. its not perfect but its getting crashed anyways all the body work finished but the sanding. next comes some dents and bending lol hopfuly it goes with the image in my head. also picked up wire to finnish the motor and get the cage installed maybe this weekend if possible.

i narrowed the door pillers a little then i raised the body line of the window up to give it more curve then i wided the rear piller and added a curve to it. i still have a lot of body work left and a lot of sanding just to crash it lol. this is my forst conversion hopfuly im doin it right lol

well i did start on the body mods about got them finnished its a 78 monico wagon now, i got the front clip installed excepth the hood it had to be narrowed a little bit but came out great i think for my first conversion got the front off the monico cut the fenders off and put them on the chevelle narrowed the cowl pannel to fit between the fenders whyle waiting for all that to dry i also got the fan for the tranny cooler built

thats crazy!!! i like it cant wait to see more

im converting this car for a contest n its supposed to be wrrcked but im sure ill do a derby car conversion again thats not wrecked but this is my first time ever doing any body work or a conversion at all lol idk how itll turn out. N the headers are from carsons custom model parts there the same ones used in the mad mudder kit

lol come over to scale-demoproboards and build derby cars with us the more the marrier. atleast if its supposed to look beat up u dont have to worry to much about messing it up lol. i love building derby cars my skills have improved so much in the last couple months.

well i have my pics from yesterday and a few from today. i cut the rear down a little but i still havnt found much of a way to raise the front so im leaving it for now i started scratch building a trans cooler tonight and i have to run to town and pick up somthing to use for wire tomaro because i cant do much until i get my starter and other stuff wired up. its a slow going prosess it seems. i do have my line up for next years contests though i have an 89 silverado my 57 300c and a monico so far that i will start this winter heres a pic of some of the battery box prosess heres it finished. i installed it without drilling holes for the wires so its a pain to do in the car heres the start of the tranny cooler there wil be tranny lines and fan wires to it im also scratch building a brace to hold it in place and i started choppin stuff up tonight no turning back now!!!!! gotta hack up the monico tomaro to convert it to a fury wagon. well see how good my body skills are got the front end done. turned the tires in a touch

well i got the body bolts in today. seemed to take forever but i got the tires painted ans some other things done in between i think it turned out alright last night i got my headers in so i got them on too now thats done. i still have to weather it because the car is going to be used. and heres kind of a teaser pic

I just want to do the best I can and any critisism helps and learn. Ive ran in the minni class but all my friends derby and I see there cars and reference things there so its very helpful, thank u for the compliments. If u see anymore problems let me kno so I can improve my skills

Thanks for the compliment. I jus started on filling seams when I did my seat. I never really thought to sand the injection marks off and fill seams on the motor. Thanks for the advice ill definatly keep that in mond next time. This is only my third car since I been back building and putting details into so im still learning lol

i havnt got to far on this build in the last week or so, still waitin on parts and fixing other stuff and assing little things here and there in my spare time, so far i got the cage all done just waiting for my battery to get here so i can make a box for it and gue it down and wire everything up before the cage goes in. heres my switch box start button and tach, i also got the seat and peddels and firewall in, my break resevore and brake lines started being ran also used some random necklace wire and tied the fuel tank down

hahhaah i worked for a painting company for a long time and had nooooo luck with yellow no matter what i did that paint was everywhere!! still to this day i hat yellow and try avoid using it lol

well heres some pics. i got the main part of the cage done tonight going to pick up some L shaped styrene tomaro at the hobby store so i can mount the fuel cell to the main cage. i also got a start button and a switch pannel ready to install had some problems with the seat. i dont think i used enough hardener in the bondo its not drying to fast, its only my second time using it. i think im going to try using somthing easier. somthing where i dont have to mix the hardener in lol but heres the pics since ur probably sick of reading lol hopfuly i have this car done by hh3 lol. im tryin to take my time and do things right but i cant wait to see it get done lol

not gunna lie thats some sweet work. i love the stance with thos wheels. it looks pretty tough

I watched some youtube vids that looked pretty helpful idk if u saw them or not. I want to try using it sumtime when I get the money

i got a little bit more done since my last post. i did the chassis with some sugar and flat black and a coat of body color. and then rustalled it. its not finnished yet. i still have to do a few more coats of rustall and some blackwashing but i like how its turning out i also got more done on the motor im waiting on headers to put the spark plug wires on. but the cradels finnished and the pullys and fan and carbs on and i got the fuel line ran to the pump. still going to add a few more details to finnish it up once my headers arrive thanks for looking.

so i got a little further with the motor. i made a distributor protector and a transmission brace along with the shifter and linkage set up. then i cut into the door pannels. since i am using a mopar chassis and rearend i am converting it into a 77 plymouth furry wagon. it should be an easy conversion. im going to maybe cut the front off of my monico and put it on there. itll be my first conversion i hope it goes good lol

i used to have a for sale sign i was using but it got lost in the move and all the ones that i have found seem to be really thin compared to the last stuff i had. when i find the right stuff im gunna have to buy a few sheets now that im trying my had at scratch building lol. thanks for the advice. i saw ur builds in other places and there all awesome.
