  1. Cool. Can't get enough of those Mercs.
  2. Now that is cool !
  3. I like it ! You do know it won't start without the battery, right ? : )
  4. Got a little more done on this one. Blue paint on engine block is darker than the photo would suggest. Decided to go with a Maroon on the body. Still need to wet sand decal clear and polish.
  5. Yes, time to put new filters in the cold air returns and get the air conditioner ready. : (
  6. My first job while in high school was at a "service" station. My main job was pumping the fuel. If I remember right the gas was around 35 cents a gallon ( I may be wrong on that ). Anyway, yes in addition to pumping gas I had to clean the windows and check the oils and ask if they wanted to have me check the air in their tires. We did have promotions where we gave away something like glasses or dinnerware that would change every two weeks or so. When one of our deliveries of the new dinnerware was late you took your life in your hands telling the women coming in for gas. On top of that we had stamps we gave away. One page out of the book for every two dollars of gas. That was real fun when it rained and there wasn't a canopy over your head. It was a fun job however.
  7. Posted elsewhere but it fits here also. Photo of the 78 King Cobra I bought new in 1978. Happened to be at the Ford dealer when it was being delivered. Bought it right off the truck. Pretty cool car that you didn't see too often.
  8. I liked the one I had. Bought it brand new off the delivery truck in 1978.
  9. Found this magazine on ebay. I had never heard of it before.
  10. Nicely done.
  11. Looks good. I rather like the look of the textured paint.
  12. I swear they look like real 1:1 parts.
  13. Sharp !
  14. Went to Home Depot today for a Moan shower control cartridge. Nobody at the register and was forced to use the self checkout ones. As always, had a problem plus had to go through 5 screens to complete transaction. Maybe due to my age I am just "old school " but me and those things just do not get along. : )
  15. If you do buy one do yourself a favor and make sure you read the instruction about cleaning/ degreasing the body before you attempt to lay down some paint.
  16. Looks sort of like a custom Opel GT
  17. Very cool, I like it !
  18. Looks great ! I am really getting re-interested into the military part of this hobby.
