  1. Agree so very much, would love to see Revell do 1/25 kits as follows: 1967 Camaro 1968 Camaro 1969 Special Edition with SS hood (why have they not done a special edition 1969 Camaro Kit, the 70 Mustang got one) 1970 Camaro 1970 Chevelle I guess you can tell I am a Chevy enthusiast.
  2. Thanks guys, great feed back. Wonder why AMT does not release new 60/70/s muscle car kits, it looks like all they release now is reissues or the modern 2008-2013 Camaro, Corvette, Challenger, etc. It's a shame.
  3. Kind of new to car building, have never owned an AMT kit as I have never really heard anything good about them. I love 60/70/s muscle cars and have about 25 kits now, mostly Revell the odd Monogram. Looking for feedback (like a poll I guess) of the top 10 AMT muscle car kits every produced (if there is as many as 10). From some reviews I read so far I can only list 4: - 1969 Olds Hurst - 1970 Camaro - 1971 Charger - 1969 GTX
  4. There was a model show every year usually in April in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Looking for feedback from model guys that live in Ontario, Canada as I can not find anything on goodle or any flyers on this show, does it not go on any more?
  5. Love this car but I have read many forums indicating how many people wish Revell would do a nice 1/25 scale, I have seen some nice Revel snap kits done but what about the Revell 1/25 Chevelle SS Donk 3 in 1 kit, would this not be a nice basis to build a sweet 70 Chevelle SS?
  6. Thanks, those are nice wheels sets. I assume all those pictures you provided are Aoshima wheel/tire sets. What is the best on-line distributor to order Pegasus and Aoshima tire/wheels from?
  7. Can anyone suggest aftermarket companies that produce wheels and tires for the following kits: - Revell 1/24 Ferrari California - Revell 1/24 Ferrari Italia - Revell 1/25 Modern Mustangs - Revell 1/25 2010 Camaro
  8. Looking for what companies provide aftermarket parts for these 2 kits: Tires Wheels Disk Breaks and Calipars Photo Etch emblems etc. I live in Canada, would prefer to order online. Thanks so much.
  9. I am working on my first model car kit (1972 Cutlass Revell Kit). I would like to do a basic wiring of the engine but having problems locating a simple basic step by step process of what type of wire to use and how to do it. Can anyone direct me to step by step article to help me out?
  10. I agree with everyone else, we are just trying to give you sound advice from learning the hard way. I have modelled for 30 years, a few years ago I got bit by the golfing bug, sold all my kits and airbrushes, compressor, tools, etc to afford golf, I swore I would never go back then 2 years ago I experienced a medical condition and could not golf any more, went crazy at home and now getting back into it but had to spend so much money to replace everything I need which I use to have, should of packed it all away in storage. So I learned the hard way as well as others here, again just trying to save you money. I believe this is a hobby that is in a persons blood, you might leave it but it is never really gone, just take a break and pack things away, I think some day you will come back to it.
  11. So who makes after market wheels and tires the right size for Ferrari kits? I would assume Ferrari have specific wheels for their cars I checked Pegasus and can't locate any.
  12. I was just wondering if some parts were different. When I look at the box art the ROG Ferrari kits the tires look more low profile then the Revell USA ones.
  13. Is there any difference in the German Revell Ferrari kits vs Revell USA kits?
  14. Nice models there buddy, really like them.
  15. Thanks for the all the feedback, you guys pretty much covered all the models I was looking at. Why do they do all Ferrari's in 1/24th but all new kits from Revell of any other car is done in 1/25th? Another thing I find interesting, is I have read people complaining forever about Revell and inaccurate tire sidewall height, size, etc, you think over all these years Revell would get it together and make better tires.
  16. Are these kits pretty nice? Are there any better than others and any I should stay away from?
  17. Thanks for all the replies. I know there is trial and error but I just don't want to spend too much coin testing things, that is why I wanted some feedback from others who have done the trial and error and see what there feedback was. My biggest things were how long the Tamiya or Duplicolor paints have to dry before clear coating, what is a good clear coat, how long does that have to dry before micro mesh. I also wanted to know what polish and wax people were using. I have heard some good things about Meg. Sratch X polish but not too much on wax brands.
  18. Hey guys, new to car modelling and looking for advice before I paint my first body. I have heard the debates of enamels thinned with laqueor thinner is the way to go as no primer coat needed (Don Yosts way), but a few issues, I don't have an airbrush, I have searched high and low where I live (Canada) and can not find Novus or The Treatment wax anywhere. I have a Canadian Tire that sells Duplicolor, huge selection but I assume these laqueor paints are hot and need a primer, but with primer and then paint from spray cans I am concerned with hiding details with all these paint coats. And what would be the best clear coat for these. What car polish and wax would be the best in this case? Then there is Tamiya, no primer required, heard the sprays are pricy but beautiful, i also heard you have to wait forever to clear coat Tamiya spray paints with Tamiya clear coat, is this true? How long? And what would be the best car polish and wax for these types of paints/ Would appreciate all the feedback and guideance you can all provide.

  20. I am talking about building customized 60/70's muscle cars with low profile 18-20 inch tires. I know many order aftermarket tires like Pegasus, so my question was about current kits available that include these types of tires as well as cool rims to use in place of ordering aftermarket stuff.
  21. What kits do you think have the best tires and wheels to use to customize muscle car kits you build?.......including snap kit tires and wheels. I love the look of customized muscle cars from the 60/70's and I was thinking there must be current kits that include tires and wheels that can be used as donors for these types of projects. Not at old muscle car, but I am currently building a 2010 Camaro SS kit and I am using the wheels and tires from the Revell Concept Camaro Snap Kit and with the dry the fitting I think it looks mean and fantastic on this new kit.
  22. Thanks. Love the 66 body design. I like building custom 60/70 muscle cars. My LHS has the Revell 66 GTO kit for $11.99, need to go grab it.
  23. Speaks about your character. Takes and idiot to argue and think he knows it all and is perfect and never makes a mistake. Takes a real person with character to admit he made a mistake and own up to it. I don't know you personally, but you have my respect Sir.
