  1. Thanks Neal. I hope all is well in Florida. The old club seems to have more members every month. Keep Cool.
  2. Welcome, and it looks super.
  3. Call it done. Gold base, HOK Kandy Apple Red. Taupe green interior. To my knowledge this kit was only issued once. A very rare kit and one I always wanted. This was built from an old build up with some parts added from a partial kit. Enjoy. I need to get some shots in the sun to see the paint.
  4. By the way this is House of Kolor Spray Spray Can paint. Used polishing pads on the paint. I like those little pads. Also if you look on the box cover the rear tires are not white walls. For some reason I do not know they put white walls in the kit. Must have had a bunch from some other kit to get rid of or the white walls were turned to the inside of the real car? Thanks and enjoy.
  5. Even though your picture says reduced 81% if you click on it it expands to a larger picture in a new window. I hope this helps.
  6. I am trying one of mine from photobucket to see if it works. This is what I got. It looks correct. Here is another. I clicked on the img option under the picture and pasted it here.
  7. Mostly done. Need to put on Exhaust, Wind up Key and Radiator Cap. Taupe interior Decals from the Revell 49 merc for the gauges. Chrome foot gas pedal.
  8. First update on the build. Painted top Vinyl black. Engine matching Color and got suspension and wheels on. A good portion of the engine built. The chrome was bad on the suspension pieces so I painted a chrome paint and cleared. Looks more like a stainless steel but thats ok by me.
  9. A combination rebuild with some new parts added. Gold base House of Kolor Candy apple red.

    kit needed

I hope gives you some inspiration.
  11. Model King reissue, Krylon paint Laquer clear. Much foil. A pretty simple kit but builds up pretty nice. Promo style chassis. Does have a complete engine. The body has some sink marks on trunk and hood but fixable (I didn't). Interior is one piece tub, molded in sides, one piece front seat, back seat molded in, dash and steering wheel. Decals for gauges and some wood trim. one piece glass. Nice engine. the rear suspension and exhaust and drive shaft all one piece. The front and rear facsia (under the grill and Rear bumper) mold to chassis. Screw on chassis. seperate tail light. Two sets of wheels stock and mags. Metal axles. One set of tires. Huge decal sheet Race car numbers pinstriping for custom many others including body trim pieces. Overall it builds into a nice model and looks right to me. A big car.
  12. I agree super clean, looks real.
  13. Super build, looks great.
  14. Model King reissue, Krylon paint Laquer clear. Much foil. A pretty simple kit but builds up pretty nice. Promo style chassis. Does have a complete engine.
  15. The chassis is just the basic one piece promo style. let me know if you want to see it still.

  17. After market hood and chin spoiler, Galaxy mettalic gray.
  18. like the color, very nice.
  19. The kit came with a trailer. The description on e-bay said a smp kit. The paint on the bumpers and wheels is plasti-kote chrome quick dry. I got it at a craft store.
  20. Retored from previously built set. Original issue kit. The before picture. The after pictures: The paint is House of Kolor can Blue and tamiya pearl white, Rustoleum laquer. Chrome foil. I used all of the original pieces and used a craft store chrome paint for the bumpers, grill, lights and wheels. The trailer is painted Tamiya aluminum and the belair is an older build with after market decals.
  21. All House of Kolor paints. Used precut paint masks. Straight from box. Enjoy.
  22. Great build of a great car.
  23. Great looking Build.
  24. Brian has a fotki tutorial on his flame painting which I cannot find right now. He uses a liquid masking agent over the body. He then traces on the flames and uses a razor blade to cut out the outline of the flames. In effect all of the black on the truck pictured would be covered by the mask except where the flames go. he then airbrushes the various colors. When it is just about dry he removes the masking carefully and when completely dry, clear coats the entire body. I hope this helps. Brian, perhaps you can dig up that tutorial. Here is the Fairlane Brian painted which I just finished.
  25. Brian does do commission work. His email address is briann@srt.com. Here are some other pictures of his work.
