boo boo I use the back side of the black handled testors hobby knife.i like it the best because its sturdy.it works great for plastic body because they are thin.dont use it on resin body they are much thicker and the testors blade also get thicker.you end up taking more than you wanted to.

does anyone know what this set up in this pic is called.rb motion used to sell them on his site but there not on his page anymore.its the valve cover air breather attacked with a tube to the bottom of the header.

here some pics of the kit rear tires as they come and after they are sanded down.a little trick I learned from dave t.Untouched tire to the left.the right side tire has the sidewall sanded.they also have the kit drag light rims in them.i will be using micro nitro aluminum drag light rims right side pic.I don't know if ill use the kit tires or not.they look ok but the two piece tire kinda sucks.if anyone knows of a more accurate tire available let me know.

Here are some pics of a mock up I was messing around with a few months ago.i took the cage from a firebird kit because the scale of the cage looked a lot closer to scale than the cage in the Camaro kit.the cage in the Camaro kit look a lot thiner.i also widened the cage buy moving it out to the edge of the body so it contoured to the inside of the body better.the set pins for the kit cage is to narrow.after I get the look im after ill build one from evergreen.

I will use futurattraction,MAS,Micro nitro, pro tech, dirt modeler ect.here are some parts I already have.still waiting on the rest of the parts to come in.

I see what your talking about with the kit hemi being narrow.what about the top fuel hemi? I also checked the top fuel tires they look a lot better.comp resins has a pro stock tire crt 511.it has the same dementions as the tf tire except its not as tall.are the kit front tires good? does ross Gibson or mark johnson have a better engine?

1/16 Scale Army Vega Funny Car - Finished 10/14/2018
lou s replied to Mooneyzs's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
ive been catching up on the pages ive missed and you've come along way.this car looks awesome.you are taking me back to when I was a kid. I had the hot wheels army funny car.it was my favorite and I wouldn't let anyone play with it LOL.its funny because I don't know what happened to it.i guess I discovered girls and the rest is a mistery...........Ive always wanted to build the 1/25 scale but I don't know much about the fc and the kits have a lot of problems for a novice.youve inspired me to give it a try so ive got a few questions for anyone that can help.the first I can think of is the rear tires.are there aftermarket out there that would be more to scale for the 1/25? is there a 1/25 scale version of this build or am I stuck with the Monza? thanks and I cant wait to see this car done.great job -
was wondering if anyone out there has ref. pics of the interior or engine ect. of the firebird pro stock.it don't have to be the summit car just any firebird of thet era will do.thanks.
