  2. I am not really digging the wiring I did it looks bad, and I was having issues with some of thin wiring. I may rework it. i will post some more progress photos, I weathered the tires and wheels some interior paint mods. I will post soon. Also printed some scale street signs any thoughts from any one on where to put them?? inside the car etc..

  14. Great tips everyone, I think in this case with the folk art it may be better for those rusty crusty jobs
  15. more work today, leaving the bench for now and going to the movies: seats done, crackle paint on the floors, mesh rolled cage attached to the top of the car cut out and antique gold wash on the air cleaner

  18. Picked up some item from RMM yesterday going to be cleaning them up today and hopefully shooting some primer on them!
  19. I have 4 new kits sitting that I purchased yesterday at the MAMA show in Maryland.. Which by the way was very nice. I saw a lot of different techniques for rusted rods that were amazing. One looked like the paint was swirled and textured on the model in rusted colors. I can't figure out how this was achieved.
  20. Thanks Cranky, where Can I get Liquitex? is it something have to buy online etc.. I guess the best way to do it would be to mix a large batch of it to have on hand on every use. Thanks for the help. Brendan
  21. All great info guys, I can see using them as detail paints in the dark colors. i am going to try spraying them I will let you know how it works out! Luckily I have an extra cab laying around.
  22. Ok, sounds good - can I thin it with rubbing alcohol? For the price of them I thought why not try it!
  23. Has anyone shot folk art acrylics from Hobby Lobby through their airbrush and since they are water based what did anyone use to thin it? Thanks for the help I don't want to go fooling around with this if it doesn't work!

I'm on the list but not sure I qualify since my rat was already a full kit I had laying around, a lot of parts or additions were things I already had acquired but it still was a full kit- I have it started already on the workbench forum. Please let me know as I don't want to post it if I don't qualify. Thanks B!
